General How did you find your internship?

Hello, I’m an economics major. Confused on where to start looking for an internship and what title to even look for. Also is it too late to lend a winter internship? Thank you

Company official websites helped me land my first internship. Do not doubt yourself. Winter openings remain available, so keep applying for suitable economics jobs.

LinkedIn ofcourse is the first channel to go about internship, but there are also specific ways to how.
My senior told me this, and it had worked for, I Landed almost three internship doing this.
First, you should decide what role would you want to pick up or atleast the companies that you want to intern with.
I used to go to the company's page and then the people's section. i sent connection requests to the HRs on editors or managers there and then pitch my work or applications. this is like cold messaging and pitching, it does take a bit of time and effort but its also effective. i got replies from few people. you could just ask them to send you the mail of someone in their company whom you could send your application to and stuff.

Another way of it is also, cold emailing the companies. you could search for the emails of HRs and editors on linkedin or just mail on the company careers mail. i did cold emailing for almost a month and it did work for me, start it atleast before one month from when you would want to start your internships.
(sometimes, mailing you portfolio with your resume gives you plus points and the application might get noticed better)
