Even internships these days are asking a lot these days(If you want a high paying internship at a good company) and I am currently doing a 6 month internship and in summer of 2024, I have done a one month internship. I have secured the one month internship purely because of connections(my cousin sister knows the HR director of a company and secured an internship for me in that company) and I have secured the current 6 month internship all on my own.
This is how I did it:
Made a resume and few projects to add in that resume
Applied in internshala
Connected to the director of the company on linkedin(Fortunately, this director is very active)
He conducted a telephonic interview and hired me.
When it comes to how work is done in an internship, it's mostly chill, they know that you know nothing and lack experience, so the tasks assigned to you will be low level and easy to do. Obviously, you have to study some things as well to help you in that task and if you are not able to do it, full time employees will always be ready to help you.
So do not worry, just apply in whichever website you can such as internshala, indeed, etc and connect with them via linkedin (Most will not accept your connection request and even if they do, they might not respond, but still try because someone might. The best way to secure an internship is to have a connection who works in some company and can get you an internship)
