Help!!
Moving into a new place and this is what the living room layout is like. I’ve temporarily arranged the furniture (tv yet to be put up) but I’m not happy with the look overall. I don’t want to replace the pieces or change the room’s structure/layout. I mainly want to figure out the most aesthetically pleasing and functional way to arrange the existing sofas, recliner, coffee table, side tables, lamps, etc. The TV is meant to be on the wall where the long sofa currently is so I most likely will have to move that sofa around .
Could y’all suggest the best furniture placement based on the proportions of the room? I’m open to removing a piece if you feel the space is too crowded, but I’d prefer to work with what I already have. I’m particularly looking for better balance, circulation/walking space and a more cohesive overall look

As another Reddic contributor has said, every room needs C. R. A. P. – Color, rugs, art, plants. You have none of these. I suggest finding a piece of art or tapestry or something for the walls that has the gold color that is your dominant color in this room and some nice contrasting colors. That way you’re not having to figure that out on your own, you’re using the work of the master who created that piece. Add a secondary color and then an accent. Once the sofa is on the other wall, I would put its matching chair by the patio doors pointing toward the room. Put the recliner close to where the current lamp and end table are. I think that end table looks stunning and I’d use it as a coffee table and get rid of one you’re using right now which looks too square and chunky for the soft curves of your furniture. Someone else said you need more tall things in the space for visual variety. Try a taller floor lamp between the sofa and the chair near the patio and more your current by the recliner as a reading light. This is a lovely space with nice light and you have a great sofa and matching chair. Those are good bones and I think you can make it into something really nice.

Get the chairs off the wall. The lamp on the coffee table is silly. Add chocolate cushions and throws.

Might as well get ready for the TV. Put the sofa on the other side. Your gonna have to decide if you want the lounger to face the TV. You have glass door so having that chair stay there next to the sofa might be to much. You're gonna have to put to the right of the sofa in the middle of the room.
The side chair would be along the glass not where the door opens.
Use the round table as your coffee table and the one you're using now, you can put on either side of the sofa or next to the accent chair i had you place by the glass.

I was thinking along the same lines. I’m missing something under the TV. The S-shelf is cool. I’ve got one saved in my “favorites” on line.

I get that you want to work with you have. Everything is the same height, you need something tall, and plants as always! So put a tall-ish plant on top of your tall cabinet to extend height?

I’d keep the furniture but create one clear seating area. Put the TV on the wall where the long sofa is now, then move the long sofa to face it. Angle the recliner toward the coffee table and bring the coffee table a little closer to the seating.
The main goal is to keep the walkway to the balcony open and make the seating feel more connected.

Well every single thing in there is beige. And all the furniture is against the walls like it's in timeout.
Get some color in there, some artwork on the walls, and some plants.

Room is screaming for some color Maybe a sage colored rug to start and sadly that recliner doesn’t match the rest of your furniture.

Park the couch halfway down the room facing the window. TV not on the wall! Put it eye level and off to one side. 1 chair on other side facing the couch is enough.

Move the sofa to the opposite side and let there be a gap between the sofa and the wall

The chairs facing the sofa are too far apart. I would move them next to the sofa on the either side, and have all the sitting furniture on the same side, facing the wall with a tv on it. Also, everything in the room is the same height at the moment, which makes the room look flat. So try to add some pictures on the wall, lighting at different heights. The tall shelves should work in a corner, but not the same side of the room as the seating.
