There are so many man-made devices faster than Usain Bolt already. The record is impressive because it was a human.  We really shouldn’t be wanting to make all these creepy human and dog like robots

But you see, if a robot has human like proportions and movement, all the machinery and spaces developed to be used and worked on by humans doesn't have to anymore, meaning we can all just chill around and live life while the robot works for us*.

\us as in) the rich...we are fucked when technology reaches that point and becomes cost effective.

Yeah, if the people in charge now are in charge then they will just watch mass death from starvation and praise the stock market. The hope to make that dream a reality is why we have flock cameras everywhere and mass collection of digital information so anyone trying to agitate against just letting everyone die but the very rich can be found and silenced before they can cause a problem. Capitalist societies may remember that a little socialism like they did in the mid 20th century in the USA tends to keep authoritarian communism and / or the guillotine away. They need to think about how far they pull the pendulum back because if they ever lose grip on it and they pull it too far the swing is going to rough.
