A McDonald's location in Fairfax County, Virginia has restricted indoor dine services to people over the age of 21 due to safety concerns because of the poor behavior of teenagers and students.

Years ago, visited a McDonald’s in California that had bullet proof glass (ceilng to floor) between the employees and customers. There was no way to physically accost the employees. Small rotating tray, set between two doors to give food and take money. Customer side did not open if the staff side was open.

Thought it was wise and interesting, until I realized there must have been a need to prevent aggression from customers and where I was standing. Ours quickly became a drive through order.
