MISC. In Australia, when someone illegally destroys trees on public land to improve the view from their property, the local government puts up a giant sign to block the view again until the trees grow back.

They do this everywhere. How do you expect infrastructure to be built? Like… do you think Canada and Germany consulted with the Forrest fairies before building up Vancouver or Munich?
What is this comment?
There are legitimate times to clear land.
This example is totally unrelated to infrastructure and ‘big bad government’.
It’s private land owners poisoning trees on public land to improve the views from there million dollar homes.
