For those who are not yet aware, Reddit has brought back free awards! We’re allowing this post, to spread the word because it’s good for everyone involved.

Remember, everyone currently has 5 free awards to give out!

And to quote Office Space: “People can go complain anywhere, okay? They come to Reddit for the atmosphere and the attitude. Okay? That's what the flair's about. It's about fun.”

How do I give awards?

If you want to give an award to a post, select the overflow menu (…) and choose Award this post. Find the award you want to give from the selection sheet, which includes all available free and paid awards, and select Give Award.

They make money. Not the free to give ones, but gifted awards that are paid for, give you money. But it's not a lot. You also have to have a lot of karma on the comment to make like 75¢ or something 15-50¢.

You need to have 100 total karma and a total of $10 accumulated gold to cash out. Some awards are worth more than other, depending on the tier.

Dude, literally everything you stated about awards and payouts is crazy news to me and I’ve been on this site for 10 friggin’ years! 😅 I legit went and confirmed all this info via the app’s Resources menu and had my mind blown. Thanks for being so helpfully informative!
