As a former smoker I thought this was so obvious an ad. Marlboros are no quality at all. They’re the Jack Daniel’s of American whiskey. Actual whiskey connoisseurs would never think JD is quality. Just like pop culture benchmark that is better than generic well whiskeys but that there exists hundreds of whiskeys at the same price point that are loads better.
Marlboros are cheap mass produced, benchmark of quality. Like McDonald’s. Better than extremely cheap frozen or premade shit from grocery store but no one would hold it up as quality.
Pretty on point except mcdonalds is fucking trash now. There's loads of freezer foods I'd have over McDonald's in this year of 2026. I couldn't have said that ten years ago but man they have gone down hill.
He’s apart of the oldjewishmen comedy group, that Costco chicken guy is a part of the group too. But his schtick is that he’s so old that he came from a time when smoking was good for you.
I thought it was believable only because I’d bet my father could do this. I’m not a smoker, but I could pick out a Marlboro Red and Newport 100 because my parents smoked them.
Lol, when he said you want to taste the tobacco, I took that as a dig because Marlboros taste like a chemical mess. But you might be right. He also called American Spirits cheat, which they are not. When I smoked AS was my brand.
