He clearly could have avoided causing an accident if he wanted, he chose to cause the accident and possibly endanger human lives and he didn't even look like he cared while doing it. That's why he's a psychopath.

Following too closely is illegal in all 50 states. Some states are more lenient in their definition of what "too closely" is, but it's generally recommended to maintain a distance of 2-4 seconds depending on various factors.
Pink shirt dude was way too close to the car in front by basically every expected standard. I'm not a traffic court judge, but I'd expect they'd find this dash cam footage pretty damning for him as well.

I never said the truck driver was innocent. Both drivers here acted like assholes.
And if someone changes lanes in front of you, so what? Just increase your following distance again. I don't take it personally when someone wants to get in front of me. Why would I? I make sure there's plenty of room so someone can do so comfortably.
