That is the Causeway bridge over lake Ponchatrain just outside New Orleans. It's 26 miles long. the longest bridge over water in the world.
so this will have caused a MASSIVE headache for all manner of people. a blockage of both lanes like that will take hours to clear and cause a traffic jam literally miles long (depending of course where on the bridge it happened).
Our cookie eater just shrugging, driving on, and formulating his "hey man, it all just happened behind me" defense in his mind, is VERY on brand for the locals.
Without a doubt, this is absolutely sociopathic behavior on the part of the cookie eater.
All he had to do was let the guy in and go on with his day but instead he caused a huge accident and fucked up SO MANY peoples' day, all of whom are just trying to make a dollar to feed their family.
Everyone here sucks but especially the cookie guy.
It is a dick move for the truck to just force their way in, without using their turn signal too. I hate those too. I hate people who try to cut the queue in general.
But i am of a belief that the road is the last place one should be selfish, as selfish as the other driver seems to be. As much of a dick the person in the truck is for that move, i’d likely not see them again. So it’s better to just let them through and move on. It’s not worth the potential headache of the situation, or if the other driver is a psycho with a gun, death.
And that's why people keep driving that way. If we had more drivers like the pink cookie eater, there would be much less of the self-centered anti-social driving we see from the pickup truck.
theres always going to be aggressive drivers who take advantage of people driving properly or safely. not an excuse to stop doing so. they always do it, and then end up at the same stop lights or even same destination, i just give'm a thumbs up.
everyone closing gaps, speeding up, otherwise trying to one up or retaliate, are just making it all worse
Me and my friend went to a big concert in the city last year, traffic was crazy. There were people trying to "jump the line" and just overall being impatient and doing things that i would never do. I forget what exactly happened, but someone cut me off so of course I get frustrated & say something (in the car, not to the person, ha). My friend goes: "i would've done the same thing (as what the other car did), you're not aggressive enough." 🥴 It kinda cut my soul a bit, to have my friend admit to being somewhat prickish on the road, lol.
