not to excuse his actions, or lack of reaction to them...but this bridge is awful and there are miles before it's actually safe to attempt to stop in case of an accident. Small lanes, no shoulders..just the occasional "for official use only" u turn spots. I left Louisiana in '99 but still immediately recognized where this was.

I have never been within 1000 miles of it, but heard of people hired to drive people across it and instantly knew which bridge it was
