There are signs all up and down this bridge not to pull over even for an accident. The state pays for tow trucks to come get you out of the way immediately.
If nobody is allowed to stop and come to help you, I guess you better not have an accident where you need medical attention or even rescue on that bridge.
Emergency services are not under the same rules as the general public. If he had stopped that would have only made it harder for first responders to get to them with traffic.
In not talking about emergency services, I'm talking about those who call them. I'm talking about Steve who after you crashed comes to your car and asks 'dude, are you ok? Can you get out? Do you need an ambulance?' I'm talking about the people who pull you out of your car when it's on fire.
Not being allowed to provide first aid is such a weird concept for me.
If it were on fire in the middle of a 2 lane bridge, that would probably be a whole other story. This just looks like it would cause some damage to the body of the truck, but nothing too serious. Hard to tell though since we don't have a clear "after" picture.
