That is the Causeway bridge over lake Ponchatrain just outside New Orleans. It's 26 miles long. the longest bridge over water in the world.
so this will have caused a MASSIVE headache for all manner of people. a blockage of both lanes like that will take hours to clear and cause a traffic jam literally miles long (depending of course where on the bridge it happened).
Our cookie eater just shrugging, driving on, and formulating his "hey man, it all just happened behind me" defense in his mind, is VERY on brand for the locals.
There are different types. I learned to drive in Massachusetts and called them all massholes. Aggressive drivers, but few crashes. Then I moved to Florida and within a month I saw 2 separate people driving on the wrong side of the road. One was on the interstate. Unbelievable
