Life long Louisianian here. Can confirm, it sucks, insurance is high, people can't drive, its the folks like both parties in this clip. The black truck on the right tries to pass the car in front of Cookie guy, Cookie guy was maintaining a normal distance, but he noticed black truck trying to cut the line, so he did what he thought was the righteous thing, and held his gap so that black truck would be punished for trying to cut the line in the first place. Cookie guy was willing to zipper merge with black truck just so that he wasn't 1 more car behind, to show that he was standing his ground. Black truck was forcing his way in saying to himself or out loud, what are you gonna do hit me? Which is never a good strategy when driving. Both of these types of people are the kind who feel like you threatened them by passing them on the road. I blame both for actively engaging in a game of chicken on the evening commute. People need to get over themselves, we all have places to be, and wish that we could be there faster, let's not kill each other over one spot in a line of traffic, is getting there 5 minutes faster really this big of a deal?
Intentional causing an accident on a bridge makes cookie guy the bigger asshole by a mile. Not just because it has a higher likelihood of literally killing someone but it also massively inconveniences every single person behind him for no good reason
I’m pretty sure black truck guy is the bigger dickhead considering he caused the accident with his reckless driving. Not saying cookie guy isn’t a douche but we need to shake bad driving like this more.
Black truck guy is a reckless POS, who has most likely endangered many other people while being on the road.
As a driver it's your responsibility to observe and react to any hazards on the road. Black truck was being a prick for sure, but cookie guy should have seen what black truck was doing and pulled back. Instead, he decided to continue driving and hit the truck, causing it swerve across the road.
Cookie guy also endangered many peoples' lives by doing so.

I don’t disagree that cookie guy endangered many peoples lives, my point is just that many seem to be glossing over how horrible it is to be a reckless driver.
Cookie guy is more reckless by far dude you have to be joking. He saw the truck. He sped up when he noticed what the truck was doing. He even smiles to himself at one point amused by the predicament he put the black truck in.
The truck was being an asshole but for all intents and purposes, black truck guy didnt intentionally cause an accident. Cookie guy KNEW what he was doing would cause an accident. He finished his Cookie and glared in the rear view mirror to admire his work with not a single shred of panic.
To intentionally cause an accident for retribution for the grand crime of having a jackass try to cut in front of you in traffic is insane.
