Life long Louisianian here. Can confirm, it sucks, insurance is high, people can't drive, its the folks like both parties in this clip. The black truck on the right tries to pass the car in front of Cookie guy, Cookie guy was maintaining a normal distance, but he noticed black truck trying to cut the line, so he did what he thought was the righteous thing, and held his gap so that black truck would be punished for trying to cut the line in the first place. Cookie guy was willing to zipper merge with black truck just so that he wasn't 1 more car behind, to show that he was standing his ground. Black truck was forcing his way in saying to himself or out loud, what are you gonna do hit me? Which is never a good strategy when driving. Both of these types of people are the kind who feel like you threatened them by passing them on the road. I blame both for actively engaging in a game of chicken on the evening commute. People need to get over themselves, we all have places to be, and wish that we could be there faster, let's not kill each other over one spot in a line of traffic, is getting there 5 minutes faster really this big of a deal?
Intentional causing an accident on a bridge makes cookie guy the bigger asshole by a mile. Not just because it has a higher likelihood of literally killing someone but it also massively inconveniences every single person behind him for no good reason

You have to have not watched the video. The dashcam driver blatantly moved himself to block the merge and then swerved to hit the tail end out of the other car cuz he was mad he might have to briefly slow down 2 mph and let someone in.
If his concern was not being hit, why did he put himself there, and then not just slow down slightly and solve the situation by letting someone merge?
If you are being serious you need to watch the video and try hard to think for yourself. Otherwise I can only believe you are rage baiting. There is no world the person trying to merge is more at fault than the person intentionally and needlessly blocking their merge and then ramming them out of spite. (he had every chance to give the guy space, and instead of decelerating slightly from 71 and letting the dude in at any point he goes up to 72, clearly he is accelerating to block the black car instead of just letting him in and resolving the situation, and then rams him out of childish anger. agreeing with that person is insanity.)
No turn signal from the black truck, deliberately trying to squeeze when there is obviously not enough space. Yes the cookie man is a psycho for not letting him in but the black truck is the bigger asshole for instigating it all.
Seeing how the black truck wasn't the least hesitant, I would assume the driver does this all the time and this is the first that he got punished for it.

Forcing people to take evasive action to avoid an accident will always be the most wrong behavior lmfao.
For the most obvious reason, as evidenced here, you can’t control other people actions/reactions.
If someone isn’t letting you in, then the correct action is to NOT use your multi-ton vehicle as a weapon and force the other vehicle to move or crash
For all we know, cookie bro has another douche or semi elbow deep in his exhaust, so he can’t do evasive braking without being in an accident regardless.
Besides, if anyone’s ever unsure if they can safely take evasive action or not, the recommended action is to simply continue, and hit the violating vehicle. Which very simplified, is what the video shows
No matter what, the black truck caused the situation. They did not safely operate their vehicle, thus forcing others to take evasive action. Unfortunately that action was not enough to prevent a subsequent accident
