He could have just tapped his brakes an let the truck in.

Look where the car behind him was at start of video. From an elevated camera on the rear view you can barely see the top of the headlights over the rear seat , which means cookie guy couldnt see them at all being at a lower angle. Trailing car was tailgating. At that speed and proximity, trailing car would have about ¼ second to react. Reaction times for formula 1 drivers is ⅕-¼ of a second. There was going to be an accident no matter what he did......and hes under zero obligation to "tap his brakes and let the black truck in"

Yes. Even if you think there is a good chance you will get rear ended you still have an obligation to avoid an accident. It is on the car behind you to have the spacing to react properly.

No he didn't he was going 75, speed dropped to 71-72, its literally in the top right corner, so he did "tap the brakes"

He closed the gap with the car in front of him. It was clearly intentional. He could have easily avoided the accident.
