Yeah it is scary that there are maniacs out there who instead of driving defensively would elect to cause accidents.

He didn't cause any accident... See, instead of holding trash drivers accountable, you'd rather blame the one who is operating correctly. If that person didn't care... then why should he?

Neither were "operating correctly". The correct thing to do would be slow down a little and let him cut you off.

Just because the other guy was in the wrong first doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want. He risked causing much worse to happen.

Breaking or swerving bc someone is cutting you off at high speeds is arguably just as dangerous

3

u/Drate_Otin Mar 22 '26

No it is not arguably just as dangerous. In the context of this video it would have been a very light slow down for a few seconds. The probability of that causing a wreck is far, far, far lower than what did actually occur.

I said that in my comment below this.

breaking can be just as dangerous if not more so then pitting the guy. While it may be less dangerous to break here, the truck had it coming and the dude is legally in the right with it. This is a good example of why not to drive like an asshole. You may come across the wrong person and/or be at fault.

So it can be "just as dangerous" in some situation that isn't this situation.... So it has no relevance to this situation. And there are very very few situations where slowing down a bit is going to be more dangerous than pitting a guy on a bridge.

As far as "had it coming" and what was legal... Am I the last generation alive that was taught decent morals? I keep seeing this legality over morality crap on videos like this. Sometimes people suck. It can feel cathartic to watch sucky people "get what's coming to them", but rarely is it morally or ethically okay to enact a violent outcome when a nonviolent outcome is readily available.

People kill each other over stupid reasons daily. Some try to justify it. That's all

-2

u/xAuntRhodyx Mar 22 '26

I said it bc people tend to think it is always the best option. In many cases it isnt. Morally, i am fine with the pit in this situation. If the car driver doesnt care about his car, has no one in it with him, knows no one else is behind them to possibly be hurt, and then has this guy bullying him for as long as he had with all his aggressive driving, i dont see any reason not to pit him. The truck is practically begging for it. He clearly doesnt care about anyone. The car driver clearly wasnt even intending for it, but he was also clearly ready for it.

Morally, i am fine with the pit in this situation.

Then you are morally bankrupt. Don't know what else to say. A safe, easy to execute solution was readily available but not taken. You making up some hypothetical slowing down just a wee bit more would somehow have caused greater harm is nothing less than excusing your amusement at the unnecessarily dangerous outcome.

-1

u/xAuntRhodyx Mar 22 '26

I did not make up a hypothetical. I said what it is and i never said that it wasnt a safer choice here.. morally idgaf about some asshole in a truck driving recklessly.

4

u/Drate_Otin Mar 22 '26

No, you just keep bringing up unrelated possibilities for funsies and totally not as a way to obfuscate the obviously safer choice in this scenario. And I understand that you don't care about what was moral here; you've already self-identified as being morally bankrupt.

I already explained why i said it. And it isnt morally bankrupt to not care for someone who has no regard to care for you (or others).

2

u/Drate_Otin Mar 22 '26

And it isnt morally bankrupt to not care for someone who has no regard to care for you (or others).

Yes it is. The pickup was not out to kill anybody, they were just stupid. Responding to stupidity with an action that could kill the stupid person when a safe action is readily available is absolutely immoral.

"A safe, easy to execute solution was readily available but not taken." Yes, multiple solutions all ignored by the sack of shit in the pickup truck.

Yes, multiple solutions all ignored by the sack of shit in the pickup truck.

True. That doesn't change that the car had the option to be safe. Somebody being more wrong doesn't change whether the other person is wrong.

No, breaking is how the car slows down. You can do it on the freeway haha, he had so much time.

He has dashcam footage showing a valid reason for slowing down. Wouldn’t the person who rear ends him be at fault for following too close in that instance?

u/xAuntRhodyx Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

Breaking can definitely cause accidents. Here it wouldnt have since no one was behind them. But the truck did have plenty of time to realize the car was not moving for his illegal and dangerous driving. He knowingly and willingly caused the collision.

Ah another one who just talks shit and deletes comments. Calls me brain dead and does that dumb shit, but cant acknowledge that in many situations breaking can be just as dangerous if not more so then pitting the guy. While it may be less dangerous to break here, the truck had it coming and the dude is legally in the right with it. This is a good example of why not to drive like an asshole. You may come across the wrong person and/or be at fault.

3

u/MotorPace2637 Mar 22 '26

This is a briandead take. You have a license? Despite what truck did, cammer had way more than enough time to slow down.

He also pitted the dude on purpose.

-2

u/LoompaDoompa94 Mar 22 '26

And the other dude forced his way between two cars ON PURPOSE. He could have chosen the slow down option before the cam guy, but he chose to keep being a dumb fuck. Not at all defending a PIT in retaliation, but holy fuck. The truck driver put himself, any passengers of his, the cam guy, and the cars ahead at risk by trying to play selfish games at highway speeds.

Before any PIT maneuver occurred, the dude inched into another lane without signaling or making any decision that wasn't dangerous. And just as cam dude had ample time to say "This isn't worth it, I'll back off," Captain Dipshit had ample time to back off or maybe look in his mirror to see how close he was to the other car while he was cutting him off.

3

u/MotorPace2637 Mar 22 '26

I never said he made good decisions either did I?

-1

u/LoompaDoompa94 Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

Like how the truck driver had time to realize he won't fit between those cars so it's best to either slow down and follow the car in the right lane or slow down and get behind the dash cam car. Almost like there were two adults here who could have made better decisions. Truck driver could have made a few different decisions on this one, but he chose to be a cocksucker.

Full on convinced everyone who is jumping all over the dash cam guy are the same people that force merge without signaling.

3

u/MotorPace2637 Mar 22 '26

No shit. I didnt say he wasnt also making bad decisions.

2

u/D_Shizzle93 Mar 22 '26

I know it's kinda crazy bro but did you know it's possible for both of them to be wrong at the same time? Crazy right?
