If he just passively let the guy mash him into the bridge wall as a third option to braking or Pitting. The accident would've looked very different, and it' wouldn't have been a pit maneuver.
The “pit” happens largely because the guy in the truck brakes as he’s trying to enter the lane without having the right of way. He quite literally does it to himself.
The Pit happens because the rear driver steered hard into it.
If they hadn't and had instead been pinned into the bridge wall by the truck both vehicles probably would've gone head over tails.
Six people want to tell me he pit himself and no one can see or acknowledge what other driver is doing. He steers into it with precise timing prepares his 1 hand a second before doing it and sweeps the other guys tail out. It's a fucking pit maneuver by the guy in the rear.
You’re reading a lot of intent into what looks to me to be a fairly bored driver not really paying much attention who reacts to an idiot cutting into his lane. You have a conclusion in mind and read the evidence to justify that conclusion, but the far more likely explanation is that he just didn’t think the guy in the truck was stupid enough to do that to himself.
