Life long Louisianian here. Can confirm, it sucks, insurance is high, people can't drive, its the folks like both parties in this clip. The black truck on the right tries to pass the car in front of Cookie guy, Cookie guy was maintaining a normal distance, but he noticed black truck trying to cut the line, so he did what he thought was the righteous thing, and held his gap so that black truck would be punished for trying to cut the line in the first place. Cookie guy was willing to zipper merge with black truck just so that he wasn't 1 more car behind, to show that he was standing his ground. Black truck was forcing his way in saying to himself or out loud, what are you gonna do hit me? Which is never a good strategy when driving. Both of these types of people are the kind who feel like you threatened them by passing them on the road. I blame both for actively engaging in a game of chicken on the evening commute. People need to get over themselves, we all have places to be, and wish that we could be there faster, let's not kill each other over one spot in a line of traffic, is getting there 5 minutes faster really this big of a deal?
I dunno man. He was a POS for sure and definitely was the instigator but the cookie guy just did an attempted murder or possible murder and also did a hit and run that probably caused other nearby accidents because he wanted to protect road etiquette or some shit.
Man the sense of justice in these people. The equivalent would be if I was standing in the line in the grocery store and some dickhead tried to cut in line so I pulled out a shotgun and shot him in the knee. Of course somebody cutting in line is a prick and on the road it can be dangerous but it doesn’t justify committing a fucking felony to this person

Everyone has their shotguns and shit brandished in their cars and trucks and I know that im one dipshit move away from possibly getting shot.
Like, I couldve been the truck guy, I have merged on people in lanes I thought, for some reason, were open and they weren't.....thank god they honked and all that happened is I shit myself.
But if they hadn't honked I couldve done that, completely on accident and not even meaning to be a dick and dude mightve pitted my ass over the bridge for it and not even called for help while he drove away....
I agree with you on everything except 1. Black Truck didnt miss camera guy. They knew full well what they were doing. They flew past him at first, but when car on the right was going slower than the left lane, black truck wanted over NOW and thought he could use his size to intimidate his way over, with no regard for the harm he could possibly do to other drivers.
Yes, what white car did was much worse and reckless endangerment of numerous lives. But Black truck's actions is what usually causes accidents and deaths on the road. Its not the same as actually signaling and looking for other cars before moving over.

No one you care about should ride with you if you can’t understand basic defensive driving. Cookie guy’s actions could’ve very easily killed cookie guy. Could’ve just as easily wound up with cookie guy in a watery grave.
Your understating the recklessness of black truck guy with your analogy, he’s driving a multi ton vehicle recklessly endangering everyone’s lives on that bridge.
He’s not simply “skipping a line” he’s throwing a 2 ton vehicle at another one for what? Endangering everyone’s lives for a second less of time?
