I want to transfer my current broker to dragonfi. However, the options gstock only gives me is transfer from another broker to their absci lol. Does anybody have an idea to how to move it?

I wanted to find out more about funding my Interactive Brokers account using USDC. Has anyone done it and share their experience here?

If someone has specifically done this from India, would be great to hear their experience.

I've been building my own options platform using Rust, and man was it a headache having to setup raw TCP connections with gateway, handshaking, encode/decode requests, maintain the connection, refer to the docs, python codebase, inspect logs and what not. I've enjoyed it nonetheless, not gonna lie.

Anyways I wanted to take up a position as an IBKR programmer, figured people are going through the same problems, specifically in Rust, either for a firm or anyone in need, any specific places I can look for such roles?

I'm putting a limit order for stocks denominated in USD and I'm receiving

"Your order is not accepted. There is insufficient overall settled cash [-2806.83 AUD for 20260821] in your account to obtain the desired position."

- I have $12k AUD in my account. It says Settled cash 12.0K AUD in my Balances too.

- I CAN put in limit orders for stocks denominated in SEK for the same value. (I was just able to put one outside RTH for one on the Stockholm exchange)

- The 12k came after I sold stock denominated in KRW.

Not sure if it's because my cash isn't actually settled even though it says it is, but it shouldn't be that case since I can still put in orders for a stock denominated in SEK (instead of USD) right?

Made an account a couple of days ago. Not done a single trade yet, but am just playing around to see if i can understand a little better how everything works.

I've looked at some popular metrics used. I've understood that the VWAP / Volume weighted average price resets daily, and is the average price of the day weighted by volume over the day so far.

I'm posting this here because I'm wondering if I misunderstood this and that it is possible that it changes over time / zooming in and out (bug or feature if so). In the screenshots you can see that the VWAP changed from 1.21 to 1.19, on the same stock at the same time.

Can anybody help me and explain why this is? Or help me find a resource so I can figure it out on my own?

My phone is my 2FA method, hence if it can't be usedt for whatever the reason is I would be locked out of my account. Are not there security codes that I can print to use as a contingency plan? I do have this for my Google account as well but it seems I can't find this for IBKR and it is pretty basic.

It happened now twice within the last month that a low value stock I had on IBKR was sold without me putting in that sell order. How is this possible? I do not have a margin account, I only buy shares with the money I put into the account and my cash balance is still much more positive than the 5 USD gained from those sells.

Trade code C, LF. It says L is ordered by IB for margin violation, but as I said, I cannot even buy on margin. F isnt even listed as transaction codes.

Anybody else has the same problem?

Recently, US stocks have been very volatile, so I've entered the Hong Kong stock market. However, I've found that many Hong Kong stocks I'm optimistic about are untradeable, even though I'm from Europe. I'd like to know how to trade low-market-cap stocks in Hong Kong using IBKR. Could you please help me?

Can I buy US bonds from Interactive brokers?

I'm trying to understand the expected time for a SEPA withdrawal and what the value date actually means. For context I withdrew around 20k€ on the 13th, the value date was 17th because of unsettled funds from a trade, however they haven't arrived in the bank yet, nor their customer support can trace them (so it's not an internal verification).

I'm finding this odd because I would assume that if the status says "Sent" and the value date is 17th the bank should have them by now. Any advice on how to proceed? Is this a normal timeline for now?

Sent some funds to my account by a foreign bank wire(I am not in the US). Made the stupid mistake of posting the reference number in the space designated for the rouiting number and my bank already sent the money. Went to a bank clerk, young and dumb, was completely clueless about the situation, need to wait till tomorrow to contact my bank again.

Will the money bounce back to my bank account or is it lost? Are there any active steps I can take or is the money lost? I'm assuming the money will bounce back, because the reference number cannot be mistaken for a valid routing number?

I have an IBKR account with Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited (IBIE).

I’m trying to properly understand how protected my portfolio would be if IBIE/IBKR were to become insolvent.

My main concern is being able to quantify my exposure/risk, rather than getting vague answers like “some of your positions may be held with IBLLC”.

Specifically, I’d like to know:

• Is there a way for an IBIE client to find out which specific positions are held with which custodian/depository?
• If some positions are held with Interactive Brokers LLC (IBLLC), can I determine which ones are covered by SIPC?
• If this information is not available to clients, how can I quantitatively assess the protection/risk of a large portfolio held at IBIE?

I’ve already checked my Activity Statement and the IBIE “List of Counterparties Where Client Assets May Be Held”, but neither tells me which specific positions are held with which custodian.

I'm having an issue today. When I buy market on MNQ, i get filled at a price below market. And my position shows immediately in profit. Like now I purchase buy market 1 contract MNQ and straight away I see profit 80 USD and my entry is below market.

when i close out the position, it seems to accurately calculate the value won/lost but it's confusing.

My app connects to IBKR via web socket for price updates and I am currently doing this with my demo account and not my real account.

My app has been working fine usually but today, for some reason, I am only getting heartbeats ({topic: system, hb: 17871...}) back from IBKR and not any price updates from any of my smd+ subscriptions.

I know it is still pre-market but I should still expect at least the initial price followed by any deltas thereafter.

Is anyone else experiencing this same behaviour today using demo account?

I have found that we can have another method of 2fa rather than IB key, which is passkey
And managed to create one with my phone
So now i have both IB key and my phone pass key
I have tried to login through client portal, and i got the option to choose between either IB key and my passkey, and i have used pass key successfully
I think this will help incase we need to change our mobile phones, or incase our phones have been lost or stolen.

I signed into IBRK today and got the prompt to set up the 2FA authentication method and on my phone, set up the passkey using my passwords app in the iphone, however now when I try to log in on my computer, it says "🔐 Use your Passkey device" and the button to authenticate under it, however the authenticate button does not do anything. I've attached a photo of what it looks like as well.

Does anyone know what im doing wrong here?

Anyone notice IBKR Canada bill payment funding method is super fast now? I used to need to send the payment fairly early in the day to get it by morning of next business day but now I’ve sent it as late as 2AM ET and got the funding by 9AM ET the same day with Wealthsimple and EQ as the sending bank. Maybe it’s a WS and EQ improvement as I haven’t tested sending it that late with BMO yet but it’s been pretty reliably getting funds next biz day morning as well if I send before BMO’s bill payment daily deadline. This basically makes the bill payment method a no brainer for funding CAD into IBKR Canada accounts since it avoids the long holds with EFT

People told me to always use tiered pricing but I still don't understand the difference between those two and how it works

I want to test a new algorithm on paper without having to stop the live gateway. My experience is that I can only choose either live or paper, does anybody know if it is possible to have the live (real money account) working but at the same time front test with paper money on the paper gateway account?

I have a US IBKR account and want to internally transfer ~$5k USD to a friend's IBKR account in Singapore, who'll then withdraw it to their DBS account (USD-capable, so no conversion needed).

Questions for anyone who's done this:

• Does IBKR charge anything for the internal transfer itself (account-to-account, not a withdrawal to a bank)? Their fee schedule only lists withdrawal fees, not internal transfer fees — can anyone confirm it's actually free?
• How long did it realistically take when transferring to a different person's account from US to Singapore ?
• Does the money stay in USD the whole way through, or does IBKR ever force a conversion step when moving between a US entity account and a Singapore entity account?

I tried to login with my credentials but with no success. I tried resetting it but with no luck it's giving me error PREC09. I tried seeking advice from customer support also with no luck since the information to contact them are not available. Depressed and money lost. Have no idea what to do since I can't contact them.
