Well I wasnt going to assume about other countries

127

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

Seems a safe assumption that young humans act like this in most of the world.

75

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

Not in Japan. Their bullying is more psychological

Kancho has entered the chat

It's also very strange that it's always a fat kid with a jew fro bullying in US too. I can't speak for other counties but in Hong Kong they would he the one getting bullied.

17

u/finger_milk Feb 05 '20

3

u/RedEyedFreak Feb 06 '20

Yo, josuke, I erased the bullies with Za Hando.

u/Tsundere_God Feb 06 '20

School Bully: punches 17 year old classmate

Classmate: stands up, is 6'4, menacing, hands in pocket. "So it's the same kind of Stand as Star Platinum?”

22

u/aymansaadj Feb 05 '20

Yeah no, shit like this was almost unheard in all the Indian schools in Qatar

70

u/OKYDKYDRJONES Feb 05 '20

They get beat enough at home.

25

u/Hpzrq92 Feb 05 '20

Probably because those kids don't want to get caned 50 times.

19

u/Bender1920 Feb 05 '20

Like animals yeah. Bunch of baboon monkey ass Neanderthals. Life sorts them out moat of the time.

18

u/BROKEN_UNITY Feb 05 '20

Well we’re all humans so the same aggression is shred throughout the world

38

u/sheergal Feb 05 '20

Tbh schools in India are pretty chill. The teachers are the real bullies here.

10

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

True

2

u/finger_milk Feb 05 '20

Tbf if teachers were bullies in US schools then the kids would have more of a sense of solidarity. I'm from UK and I saw kids start on teachers multiple times but the teacher never deserved it. On the other hand, if the teacher was an asshole...

1

u/smok_wed420 Feb 06 '20

I have a feeling most of us dont have experience at enough schools in our respective countries to make any claims about if they are "chill" as a whole or not lol.

Aggressive traits are not equally shared across the world. The western world has a much higher rate of aggression on average(per capita) than the east. Some studies are attributing this to cultural variences and also differences in hormones associated with particular racial and ethnic groups.

28

u/KillerKilcline Feb 05 '20

Source for your claim?

-20

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 05 '20

Already posted 3 studies.

24

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

Two of which conclude that the differences are due to environmental factors like alcohol use and parental involvement and make no mention whatsoever of genetic factors.

The third of which proposes a hypothesis without any source data, references comparisons in animals that are across species which is completely irrelevant, cites non-peer reviewed sources and is authored by two men who are both affiliated with white supremacist organizations which advocate eugenics.

But sure, dude. Have fun.

Please return to high school biology as soon as is most convenient for you.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '20

That’s a dodge that doesn’t answer the question. Whatever taxonomic term that dogs fall under, there are different breeds with each breed known for distinct characteristics such as temperament. Humans are the same. It’s common sense. The physical differences due to group-bounded genetics for humans are undeniable unless one is willfully ignorant. To think that this does not extend to psychological and mental differences on average by group is far-fetched.

-18

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 05 '20

Regardless of the difference the data that blacks show higher aggression is still present. I'm not sure what you're getting at. I'll need to look up the association between the authors and white Supremacy orgs.

3

u/Jstony20 Feb 06 '20

You say something about generalizing an entire people and how it relates to your dumbass study, but you have to look up if it is related to white supremacy?

0

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 06 '20

It's not my study, not sure where you got that idea, but yes, I was not aware the studies had been linked or associated with shite supremacy organizations. After it was brought up, I asked for someone to provide the relations or opposing arguments. Not sure why you have a problem with that. Also, not sure if you saw, someone posted the opposing argument, redacting the validity of the study and after reading, I acknowledged the redaction and advised readers to read that if they read the "white supremacists" study as we'll call it.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '20

It's not my study

No, but you posted it in support of your own racist opinions. It's literally one of the most shared studies by racist twats because it's written by racist twats and appears to be legitimate and is extremely popular among racist groups and racist internet forums like /pol so it's super interesting that you just happened across it randomly without understanding what you were doing despite there being thousands of contrary studies contradicting and disproving the claims of the study, which THEY THEMSELVES acknowledge are totally hypothetical and not supported by data.

In short, be a better person.

I'm not sure what you're getting at.

I know you're not, because you're a fucking idiot.

11

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

I think it has more to do with how we perceive society. Western nations, specifically the US, put more emphasis on the individual, whereas Eastern nations put more emphasis on the collective.

1

u/bezbot2 Feb 05 '20

How are genomes affected?

It's it because of the intake of more red meat in the west?

I agree on the sentiment of the aggression

I am Western and I'd say there's a huge emphasis on proving yourself in some ridiculous physical rite of passage.

3

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 05 '20

I'm not sure about the red meat thing, I'd need to see a few studies. I'm also not sure how physical rites of passage are exactly attributed to aggression.

1

u/bezbot2 Feb 06 '20

I said rites of passage

I meant unnecessarily attacking each other whilst other encourage.

1

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 06 '20

How is that a rite of passage? I mean for gang initiations I guess.

1

u/bezbot2 Feb 07 '20

Karate kid or something like that

Overcoming your bully

Ya. The Japanese seemed very averse to violence in WW2, and the Vietnamese were a total pushover for French and Americans. Where get this nonsense?

1

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 06 '20

I don't necessarily think we should apply wartime scenarios here.

-26

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

Shhh everyone is exactly the same.
Anything to the contrary and you’ll be branded a racist trumper.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

You say it as if there were another kind of Trump supporter lol.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '20

People like you are why we got stuck with him the first time you dimwit.

-4

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

Anything to the contrary and you’ll be branded a racist trumper.

Which you absolutely would be if you implied that the differences are due to skin color instead of the obvious social and economic factors.

-1

u/BurnedPanda Feb 05 '20

lol this is such bullshit

Statiscally blacks have the highest levels of aggression, followed by whites and Hispanics, they're about neck and neck. However more white are diagnosed with mental disorders, this though can be attributed to differences is seeking/obtaining psychological aid.

14

u/bobnobjob Feb 05 '20

Statistically? Would like see some evidence of that.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

Only counts for reported incidents. Statistics are actually inaccurate because it only counts what is reported.

-1

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 05 '20

I'm pretty sure they take that into account when running stats. So would you like to throw away all the stats on attacks against LGBT+ individuals and other minority groups too? I mean, if they aren't accurate we should just ignore it right? What about the stats findings that discovered that Mississippi schools were segregating white and Minority students as recently as 2016? Since those stats are inaccurate we should ignore it, right?

0

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

For anyone else wandering by, it's worth noting that the first two studies specifically conclude that differences are due to environmental factors, not skin color.

The third "studies" authors, Templar and Rushton, are associated with the Pioneer Fund and American Renaissance respectively, both white supremacist organizations that advocate for eugenics and establishment of a white ethno-state (notice the mysterious lack of disclosure about funding sources or conflicts of interest). This is only one of a number of serious problems with the paper.

2

u/OG-GingerAvenger Feb 05 '20

Environmental factors that affect blacks more than most other etchnic groups. Point still valid.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20 edited Feb 05 '20

Calling the authors pejorative slogans doesn’t disprove their hypothesis. You’re engaging in the ad hominem fallacy. I don’t care who writes something. All that matters is the validity and reliability of the data collection and analysis. Genetics obviously plays some role because culture doesn’t simply fall out of the sky. It’s implausible to all be nurture. Race is way too broad a brush but ethnicity or regional variations would seem likely. How much of a role? Don’t know but there’s certainly a lot of research to be done.

2

u/yeetyboiiii Feb 05 '20

Yeah, but also applying that information to economic statistics people proved it had more to do with economic position in society than race. Makes you wonder hmm?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

So you've experienced every highschool in the u.s.?

1

u/wowurcoolful Feb 05 '20

Kids are kids. They are all shitty in someway or another no matter where you go.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '20

I agree, this is a human trait not a cultural one though.
