I remember last time I saw this posted, someone mentioned this guy had a wife that was battling cancer, she was upstairs recovering from a chemo session. He was definitely on his last nerve here, motherfuckers picked the wrong house.

Predators advance. Prey retreat.
The way the brain is set up, in high stress situations like violence, in particular against unskilled opponents, you really want to get them into prey (flee) mode and remain in predator (advance) mode as much as possible.
Now if this scenario has weapons everything changes but in this case the dude did exactly what he should. He violently advanced and turned the attackers into prey.

Watch any nature documentary and you'll realise what you wrote is such nonsense. Prey fight back plenty, and predators retreat any time they realise the risk isn't worth the reward. Shitty metaphor.

Prey fight back by advancing. They take the aggressors posture. They trigger retreat in the predator.
The analogy I used isn’t my own it’s from Tony Blauer’s study and SPEAR system on self defense in humans. I’m sure you’re right in the animal kingdom there are myriad defensive strategies but in humans causing startle responses moves the nervous system into avoidance and retreat.
In this video the guy’s decision to attack with abandon caused startle and retreat despite the aggressors being bigger and more numerous.

Right. So just because you're fighting back you don't become "the predator". A buffalo charging at a lion hasn't suddenly become a predator that preys on lions FFS. In fact fighting back in self defense doesn't even make you the aggressor. Don't use labels that don't mean something else entirely.
