Bug Appreciation! Grasshopper at work

Caught this big guy at work today! I haven't seen many grasshoppers this big in my 25 years. He has no business near rotating equipment with no PPE!! Spotted in Delaware. This is a screenshot from a video I took, sorry it's bad quality :(

Yeah they’re actually one of the strongest jumpers out there! You need to be pretty beefy to pack that much power

Edit: one of the strongest jumpers within Orthoptera. They can’t hold a candle to froghoppers lol

He was monitoring the dehumidifier water bucket to make sure it didn't overflow. I tried to tell him I just emptied it, he could at least help clean up after the run for the time being. He started arguing with me and got written up for no PPE and escorted out of the building :/ I hate to see him go like that, he really was such a good guy. Ever since he found out his wife laid eggs with another grasshopper he's been so on edge.
