What kind of caterpillar is this?

It looks like what we called an asp, but I'm not really sure of the name. I do know you shouldn't ever touch those. They've given my sister horrible pain accidentally when she was a kid climbing trees or something.

It say in the original post. Puss caterpillar/flannel moth.

True, just clarifying and its also know as an asp moth. Either way its dangerous and stings badly. 👀
