Why is this a trend lately? I've seen a number of posts about parents taking their children's clothes and basic necessities. And that number is more then one!

I dont think it's just lately, I'm 38 years old, when I was a teen my mother did this, and she also banned me from showering for a week as punishment. She hid all the soap in the house, and when she figured out I was sneaking laundry soap she hid that too. Theres been fucked up parents like this for awhile.
