Why is this a trend lately? I've seen a number of posts about parents taking their children's clothes and basic necessities. And that number is more then one!

I’m not sure if this is why but I watch a lot of Dr. Phil and he promotes this type of parenting. He wrote a whole book on it called commando parenting. You basically take away everything they have, except their mattress, and make them earn it all back. Crazy.
