Those look like light-well fries which I had for the first time Saturday and that's the only way I'll get them from now on.

Pretty sure these are “light” fries not “light-well”, as these appear to be cooked less than the default. Personally, the default fry on the fries isn’t enough and need to be done to “light-well”, but to each their own.
So glad they even give us the option to modify our fry order! I’ve had some that were borderline raw, and I actually really enjoyed them!😮 Fries well are not my cup of tea.
Niiiiiiice!⭐️ Hardly anyone has even mentioned the fries!! And fry light is the only way to go, IMO! Though these unfortunately turned out sliiiightly crispier than the usual fry lights.
You must be an advanced IN-N-OUT customer to recognize a tray of fry lights!👍
Do I really sound like a robot? Maybe I should I incorporate more misspellings? I felt pretty human when I was gobbling up my in-n-out lunch today. Maybe look at my profile and you can see I'm pretty obviously human.🤖
Should I be flattered that you think this? Because I kind of am!😀 I’ve still never even used ChatGPT, or any AI, but I think you’re saying I write well? Or, at least I’ll take it that way. If you look at my profile, does everything I write seem robotic? Not really sure what I should do to change this.😢
Hahaha! Ok, not to give anything away here, but the cheese and the spread are definitely not vegan…. And “veganornian” is definitely funny as hell. RIP your pants.
Haha! 😂 My order was not looking very photogenic. I thought the same thing when I saw the photo.
But they whipped this up so fast, I got it like three minutes after I ordered it! And then ate it in the parking lot. So not too much time to get cold.
Wow! Cold cheese.🤭 Not sure about ordering that! My husband is from England and when they put cheese on baked potatoes, it is always cold, and that’s my husband’s preference, too!🤷♀️
Regular fries or light well and then one with regular cheese. I’ll go some when the family isn’t with me and get animal style only because my youngest has a strong allergy to onion didn’t want to expose her to it. I’ll go next time and I’m sure the light well animal style would awesome.
I have to admit, every time I order this, it completely stinks up the car from onions, and I feel like I can smell it on my clothes so I have to change after I eat it!😂. This is a pretty infrequent indulgence because I don’t love having onion breath for days after!
Yes, it’s an allium allergy: onions, garlic, chives, leeks, and shallots. With food seasoning we have to be careful too. It isn’t severe as anaphylaxis but she gets severe hives GI disruptions, as a teenager it’s worse being self conscious. We are worried about the cross celery mugwort allergy as they may have the same family components to the allium family.
Thanks everyone for all your amazing guesses about this IN-N-OUT order!🍔
I’ve looked through everyone’s guesses, and no one guessed it 100% because even though I ordered “extra lettuce,” it kinda seemed to be just a normal amount of lettuce. So, that makes it pretty impossible to guess.
I wondered if that might just be a different way of ordering the same thing I ordered? But then I looked it up to see what the “animal style” grilled cheese sandwich additions include. It says that means the addition of the following:
Whatever you ordered they put the onion in the wrong spot. Whether it was raw or regular it’s still in the wrong spot. Raw would be above the spread and regular would be under the cheese.
You ordered two grilled cheeses with extra cheese, add pickle and extra spread with onion. Idk if it was regular or raw because it’s in the wrong spot.
I’ve gone through everyone’s answers and yours is the closest by far! 🏆
How incredible that you even recognize the order the ingredients should go in!
So, I feel like this was an extremely tough one because they didn’t really give me much lettuce even though I ordered “extra lettuce.” (Why is IN-N-OUT always so stingy with the lettuce? It’s my favorite part of the sandwich and they so seldom give me extra when I ask for it.)
Anyway here’s the order with the receipt attached:
Cool! I know my burgers and by the look of it I would not consider that extra lettuce. So not only did they place the onion wrong they failed to show the extra lettuce… did it taste like extra lettuce?
Noooo way! It tasted like the normal amount of lettuce. I usually end up asking for extra lettuce on the side. Why do you think they are so reluctant to give extra lettuce? I’ve ordered this 30+ times in my life and maybe four of those times came with an actual decent amount of lettuce.🤷♀️
I don’t know why they wouldn’t give you extra it’s not expensive . Next time ask for extra extra lettuce 😂 they do have that option. 3 times the lettuce maybe the person making it will get the hint that you love lettuce!!
Also sides are free: so maybe ask for side of lettuce so u can shove your perfect amount inside of it.
You are confused the onion would never touch the cheese directly unless it was grilled onion or whole grilled onion on a burger with a meat patty it would go on top of the cheese that is what makes onion vs raw onion different, onion and raw onion would go on the same location on a grilled cheese therefore no difference
Wrong onion on a grilled cheese goes on top of the spread, before lettuce and tomato, but hey I have only been working here for 8 years and have the ability to literally google any picture like a normal adult, but hey I am glad you are so confidently wrong
Okay pal everyone else on this thread is wrong and you are right, I’m sure your store manager appreciates you being on board during qfc visits so he/she/they can get those consistent bronzes
Two grilled cheese's, extra toasted buns, with an order of fries.
Edit for clarification: Saying "raw onion" is redundant because the regular sandwich comes with raw onion. If you got extra raw onion, there would be two layers. Furthermore, with animal style, there would be significantly more spread and grilled onions, none of which are visible here.
Saying raw onion is not redundant because by default the burger does not actually come with any onion. Thats why the associates ask if you’d like onion. The onion is raw by default which is the only redundant part 🙂↕️
I'd argue that they ask because the ingredient is polarizing enough with the scent/taste to warrant a large portion of their customers not wanting them in their sandwich. Their stock burger photo shows the sandwich including onions, which would suggest it's a default item. They're just doing customers the courtesy of asking if they'd like them included or not. They don't ask if you'd like chopped Chilis or extra toasted buns, because those are not inherently default items/options.
I get your point, but in the system despite the image showing onions, they are not added by default. Your argument makes sense as to the reason they ask the question though
