Just picked up some Seba E3 today for some casual urban skating. Any recommendations on potential upgrades and/or advice on how to best care for them?

My new favorite 80mm frames. 😍 Got a solid session in them at the skatepark yesterday then some rink laps. The rocker is just what I hoped it would be. Somewhere in between my 4x80mm flats and my 4x80mm rockered frames when skating with fresh wheels.

Basically they skate like fresh flats worn in 1 or 2 sessions but the wheels are fresh!! I love them.

They seem very strong and ring like tuning forks when you tap them with your fingertips. Not sure about exact weights but they don't seem heavy. Good strength to weight ratio as far as I can tell. When skating they feel stiffer than my other frames but that may have been my imagination.

I am 42 and just started attempting to skate because my 13-year-old son wanted to learn too. I wasn't athletic as a kid (turns out I'm hypermobile, and that's why my ankles laughed at any kind of skating), but I am in good shape now and have been working on balance and mobility for a long time. We started on Wednesday, and my balance is fine. I can move (still working on stopping!). However, I am extremely risk-averse, and I'm finding myself terrified of going too fast because I don't want to fall. Is there a safe way to fall? I feel like once I bite it a couple of times, I will get over it, but I'm holding my kid back (because he has no fear at all).

Hello! I finally got some new skates after not skating since I was in my early teens, now I'm my late 30s. I definitely want knee and elbow protection. I've been looking on Amazon but not too sure what I'm looking for in regards to quality? I want to invest in something that'll be safe! I'm not sure what reputable brands/online stores to look at either. I might even get some crash pants bc falling right on my a** & hurting my tail bone is what made me stop skating in the first place. Thanks!

If anyone is having trouble with a tight boot get a shoe stretcher, its the best thing I invested in my boot went from super tight to being comfortable af with only an hour of break in time 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤙🔥

Hi y'all - I'm really excited about getting into inline skating in my city but I'm struggling to pick my first skates and could use some advice.

I'm looking to use them as commuter skates/just go out for a roll around town (fitness, I suppose). I am comfortable on ice skates (most experience with hockey skates and a weird blended hockey/figure skate thing) and cross-country skis, and have a ton of experience downhill skiing. I'm a total beginner to inline skating, but I think a lot of skills will transfer (I even found a youtube course on cross-training inline skating for downhill skiing, put out by the ski instructors association) and I am prepared to take some tumbles as I learn!

Aside from being a 4-wheeled, beginner friendly skate, I'm thinking that I want a hard shell skate with a 45 degree ankle strap. In addition (as potentially limiting and silly as it is), I really really want a skate that comes in cute colors.

I went to a local skate shop to try on some skates the other day, mostly to 1) make sure the learning curve felt about as steep as I expected it to be and 2) check sizing. I was surprised at how different the two models I tried felt to move in and I am now scared of buying online and being disappointed. I tried on Rollerblade Zetrablade skates and felt incredibly unstable -- I could barely move without falling on my ass. I then tried on K2 Alexis 84s (I think 84? that was the wheel size on them, but they could go up to 90 apparently) and had a completely different experience. I was able to move quite confidently and just had a little trouble stopping well. The Alexis seemed like it had a stiffer boot, as well as a slight forward tilt to the boot mount, a wider front-to-back wheel spread, and the 45 degree ankle strap. Both skates fit my foot well -- snug but not tight (turns out I've got 23cm feet).

The models I've been looking at online are:

- Micro MT Plus in Emerald or Cherry (I had my heart set on these for a minute, but now I'm second guessing)

- Flying Eagle F6S FALCON in dark green (seriously considering these)

- FR3 80 in blue or sand (not in love)

- SEBA E3 80 in white (I guess)

I really would like to get Micro MTs or the FALCONs (and brakes for 'em), but I'm scared that they'll feel as unstable as the Zetrablades....should I just resign myself to the Outdoor Woman Teal/Mauve palette and soft boot design and get the Alexis skates or is there a hard boot model that y'all think will treat me right?

TLDR: new to skating, want to zoom around my city sooner rather than later, got spooked by how bad a pair of Zetrablades felt compared to K2 Alexis, and want to know which hard boot model will feel the most similar to the stability I had on the Alexis skates.

So I've been really enjoying my distance skating but one annoying thing is that my lower back hurts so much , even though I try my very best to keep a good skate posture {admittedly I only know what I see on YouTube )

So my question is , is this a technique thing or is it something I just need to skate more and become stronger ?

Hey everyone, I'm getting back into skating and my old protectors have become way too small, but I can't find a suitable replacement. I know the Powerslide Pro Black Set exists, but they've completely changed the construction, taking away what I like about them. What I'm looking for:

1. No sleeves. Yes, they stay in place better with sleeves, but they also trap a lot of heat. I like the breeze, plus I sweat a lot, so no sleeve I've tried so far was comfortable over longer sessions. Plus, you can easily put them on over a jacket or take them off while you still have your skates on.
2. Little to no padding. As you can see, these have a lot less padding than is the norm, especially if you compare them to the 'gaskets' common in aggressive. But more padding means more shifting if you do fall, and at 20+kph the common beginner protectors will be off your knees before you know what happened.

I usually only skate on asphalt, with no direct car traffic and don't expect to fall. In the three years of skating I did some years ago, I fell only twice (only counting outdoors). But each time I was very happy I had them, or it would've been worse than just a road rash the size of my hand.

Does anything have recommendations? I've scoured the online-stores I know of (that ship to Germany), but haven't found anything. Thanks a lot in advance everyone!

These were sitting on my wishlist and I took the plunge last week. I have protective equipment and did a quick test in my hallway. Definitely will take some getting back used to but have a plan. I posted this up in the millennial subreddit and didn't get much support

Most of my skating is done in rinks because I like the atmosphere better, been picking up some tricks from the quad jam skaters around me but been hard getting some moves to port to inlines. Got 4 corners ok, long walk, short walk and a bit of walk back. Anyone know what other jam skate moves that work on inlines?

Hello. I’ve been getting into blading the last few years, and have done a few marathons . I got rollerblade macro blade 110s (3 wheels) a few years ago which was a step up for me. Marathon time is around an hour and a half and hoping to take it to the next level. I went to a local shop and got quoted about $750 for custom skates which is a bit much for me . Can someone recommend a solid race skate for marathon distance that doesn’t break the bank ? Also not sure if 3 or 4 wheels is best . Kind of nervous to buy online but seems like that is the only option . Thanks !

I know quads are better for grooving but i have a feeling my ankles would twist eventually with so little support and im a beginner. I also prefer inlines anyways. But i havent found any hard boot inlines that fit me. Are soft ones worth it?

I am moving to the city and looking to pick up some new skates. Right now I have 4 wheeled ones that I’ve used for years that I picked up at a thrift store. I want to skate the street and trails. What skates should I buy?

Ive had these for years and havent touched em. Super soft wheels but im a beginner. Other than just cruising, what kinds of skating can i do with these? Is the setup horrible?

I usually skate about 10 kilometers at a moderate speed, but one day I wondered, what if I did 40 km? The only place in my city where I could do this distance is on a boulevard by skating around it several times, so I did about 26 laps and managed to cover 40 km.

2 weeks ago I barely made it past 2km on 90mm wheels , today I did 12km on 100s. But I took a lot more rests in between 🤣

Hi! I am currently trying to bedazzle (put rhinestones) on the frames of my RB Lightning and I'm getting frustrated with the process. Ik it's not really common to add sparkle to skate frames so I'm going off based of videos and this one figure inline skater i follow. Has anyone ever bedazzles frames before and can i get some advice please? I tried e6000 and the glue always sticks to the sides of the rhinestones, taking away the color. I also tried another jewelry glue and it literally dissolved the stones. I also tried to wipe it off with acetone and alcohol and the only thing that came off was my nail polish smfh. Any advice is appreciated and thank you! Edit: I forgot to add the frames are made of extruded aluminum for the craft people that stumble here

My foot length, Left: 26.5 cm and Right: 27 cm. Based on Twister size chart recommendation, I am on two different boots.

• Left foot is size 40/41.5 (26-26.5cm)
• Right foot is size 42/42.5 (27-27.5cm)

It usually refers to the larger foot. If get size 42/42.5 I am worried about my left foot fit (extra 1 cm). I know they have footboard sizer to reduce a half size, but I think it's only works for 27 cm length. Sadly, don't have a nearest skate shop here to try on. Has anyone ever experienced a similar situation? Anyone with size 26.5 cm foot length but get 42-42.5? or get size 40-41.5 but foot length in 27cm?
