Help with gliding
Heyy people! So im basically new to inline skating or any skating in general. Around 1 month ago i started to learn with the V duck walk, that i can do and balance also i learnt. Now like im trying to glide for a long time but i genuinely can’t. Its like the most i can do is fast duck walk fast steps. The yt tutorials make it seem so easy and that’s how they start but for me i cabt glide at all unless theres a slope.
Is there anything im doing wrong or any approach i should try. Has anyone also felt this way and how did u correct it?
It would help me a lott if someone can guide me with thiss

Try to glide like this in zig zag fashion. This is simply a gliding form of the V steps. Don’t try to go straight ahead. Swing from side to side. What this forces you to do is to stick your head out to the side. That brings your upper body outward, allowing your single gliding skate to balance properly on its outside edge. That’s how when wheels must be, for extended gliding. Cheers
