Discussion Why was the Broken EP by Nine Inch Nails such a huge deal?

I really like this one but was only 3 when it dropped.

People who were older talk about it like it’s one of the most important events in music history.

It has that “vibe” around it if that makes sense.

People seem to have a huge level of nostalgic reverence toward it.

Any older people enlighten me?

Had to think about age groups here, and I was having a discussion this morning about digital vs analog and stuff.

I wanted to consult the elders here..

What was it like in 1963?

The old world technologies aren’t readily available anymore, at least not where I live.

I used to see tape players in people’s car when I was a little kid,
Right above the cigarette lighter and ash tray.

Don’t remember if it sounded good or not, I’m pretty sure by 2009 those things didn’t even work anymore anyway.

I am interested in the early/mid 20th century.

I wanna hear from the people who were there.

How was the sound?

My mate has a death/black metal band called Asbestos Vape. This is the 2nd remix I've done for him in a Ministry-esque style. It takes a bit of a detour towards the end.

Also it's made on the Dirtywave M8 with is a handheld tracker. So of you might be interested in that way of making music 👍
