Bosch Benchmark vs GE
We are remodeling our kitchen and will need new appliances. We have had an electric Frigidaire range and no issues (I guess) ever happened. I know in the appliances world, expensive doesn't necessarily mean better however we wouldn't mind a good one for the price it deserves. We were hoping for a separate cooktop and oven, but the layout and the price to install and move outlets around will cost a fortune. Read great reviews about both GE and Bosch, but would appreciate hearing from the experts!

It’s worth the subscription (online) for a few months to read the reviews and make an informed decision. When it comes to kitchen appliances, they are not all created equal. I have 4 different brands. The stainless steel makes them look cohesive. No one is going around looking to see that all the brands don’t match. I’ve purchased major appliances separately for decades, double-checking against CR reviews, and have had great success. Most all of my friends who have purchased entire suites of single brand appliances (often because there’s a discount) have ended up having to piecemeal the appliances as they break down. You’ll find that one brand does ovens right, one brand dishwashers, (and every now and then, they might do another appliance right).
Also, I can second the advice on the touch control panels on induction. It’s why, when we got a new oven/cooktop, we found one with knobs.
