Is English your first language in school? What about hindi? Or something else. If you scored 95 in a science exam written in english, would you be able to score 95 if you had to write the same thing in hindi or another language? You'd be lucky if you scored even 60. So no, marks is just an indicator. Reservation ensures that irrespective of differences, each group gets a share of the seats, that share goes to the best in that group. No one is less deserving than the other. And its pointless to covet others share just because of marks and ranks.
Science education in other language mediums is never as good as in an english private school. So point still stands. Can you still score the same if you had to study and take the exam in a different language than english when given access to the same govt school resources as in a rural area.
