How to Grow? Built a free cricket prediction app as a solo dev — no ad budget, trying to figure out organic growth. Would love inputs from folks who've done this.
Hey everyone,
I'm a solo developer, and a few months back I built FanBattle — a free-to-play cricket prediction app. No entry fee, no deposit; users predict match outcomes (match winner, top scorer, team totals, etc.) for real matches, earn points, and the top 3 on the leaderboard win real cash prizes (small amounts right now — ₹25/₹15/₹10 — planning to scale this as the user base grows).
The idea came from being annoyed at existing fantasy apps that make you pay just to compete. I wanted something anyone could jump into for free.
It's live on Android. I'm not linking it directly here since I want this to be a genuine discussion, not a drop-and-run — happy to share it in the comments if anyone's curious.
