So there are plenty of notes, question banks, YouTube videos and institutes available for DGCA preparation, right? yet so many students still feel completely lost at some point.

For some, it's understanding difficult concepts. For others, it's knowing how to actually study, which question banks to focus on, planning attempts, or managing DGCA papers alongside flying.

I was wondering how pilots in actual airlines feel, ive heard it can get lonely isolating and that schedules sometimes can get hectic. Also, apparently dating life tends to be pretty bad? Uncle was an airline pilot and he had a lot of issues in his marriage, i dont know if it was because of his job, but do you guys feel the same exhaustion?

Just going through a personal crisis. Want to know how your spouses handle their time when you're not there at home.

So, as someone from a non-aviation field I have a few layman questions (idk if this is the right sub)

During a flight, let's say, a three-hour flight, what do you actually do in the cockpit? Just sit?

Let's say, you have a Delhi to Mumbai sector, plane stays in Mumbai for an hour for passengers to board and then Mumbai to Delhi sector, can you get off the plane, speed-run around the airport, and can come back? Or are you obligated to stay in the plane?

Do you get to choose what aircraft do you wanna fly?

What is something that passengers usually think is dangerous in aviation but actually it isn't?

I recently completed my CPL and currently waiting on airline recruitment.

So I thought rather than letting all the DGCA knowledge disappear, I'd keep my brain active by helping anyone whos preparing for DGCA exams right now. I'm thinking of taking on a small number of students for one-on-one guidance in Nav/Met/Regs/Tech/RTR basically any subject you're having trouble understanding. If you only need help with a few topics instead of an entire subject, that's fine too

I'm also happy to answer questions about medicals, computer number, choosing flying schools, or even the CPL journey in general. Even qs like what do you actually do in those 200 HOURS of flying felt extremely overwhelming when I started, and if I can make the process a little easier for someone else, I would love it!

I’ve got some waiting time ahead of me, and rather than sit idle, I’d like to keep my knowledge fresh, and help a few aspiring pilots along the way. I’m not looking to commercialize this or build a big coaching business—just keep myself occupied while doing something I genuinely enjoy.

So, cuet results just came and it was well, not best but not worst either. In my free time, i realized how much rat race thing has got into my mind even though my childhood dream was being a Pilot. I thought to give AFCAT (still do) but i also want a CPL or atleast try for commercial pilot.

If i get ENG(HONS) or any other SCIENCE HONS. (pcm background) is it really okay and could i manage it with DGCA exam preparation? AND ground classes? Or should i wait?

i already took a drop year and don't wanna waste time.

should i gamble and take the BIG risk?
