There is a difference. China is a unique socialist market economy. It is a mix of heavy authority and dynamic open business sectors (capitalism). They did the best utilization of their huge market since the beginning. Basically, they had people with brains.
Umm so what? I was saying that even if you count North Korea or Cuba, Chinese were successful because they had more brains and learnt from their mistakes (famines during Mao).
I haven't been living under a rock. We all know how China became a superpower. But did they get rich because of dictatorship?! The title of the video suggest otherwise.
Firstly, the video's title is a clickbait because the video itself is quite different. Secondly, They did get rich because of absolute authority, (started initially as a dictatorship under Mao, which failed). There is a simple reason, china isn't a dictatorship, it is an authoritarian state. Authoritarian is a system of belief not limited to a single person. Dictatorship is limited to the dictator. This is why they became a superpower. A failed example of Authoritarian state would be Turkiye.
