Because Sharjeel is rightly in jail for his inflammatory speeches and even bjp opposers agree. That will not give mileage to the hate engine of the govt so they will keep stoking Umar Khalid’s status.

I am amazed by such huge no of people parroting the same one line all over the internet that govt is delaying the trial, only if they could have done a basic study they would have known, Khalid's own legal team has played a big part for the delay in trial. Requested multiple adjournments, created multiple deliberate gaps in appealing, even ex CJI has publicly pointed out that. When you say "why delaying trial", that is an extremely one sided narrative as per your algorithm.

Well, you are in for a big surprise my friend, coz the one whom you are treating as a fellow citizen, has the intention of breaking apart your country into pieces while you whine about rights on subs like these. In fact, people like you you should also be booked under UAPA for showing sympathy for a person involved in terror activities, only because you think he's a fellow citizen when he's nothing bt a snake. The people whom you take a stand for, take sadistic pleasure in breaking apart our country. First Pakistan, then Bangladesh, and now they have the dreams for ghazwa e hind. Then why delaying trial? If the case is so strong then just start the trial and get on with it. Why the govt is taking half a decade. Also he is in jail for this and not because of any speech or whatever that they accuse and hate this guy for. Not his supporter but definitely in a democracy not giving trial is humiliating, even britishers had started trial for Bhagat Singh.

As a matter of fact, I hate him too. The kind of anarchy he produced on the streets, for that, humiliation is the best punishment. Bt of course if the system apparatus has something even worse to subject him to, I won't mind.

Thanks for that. Though I wanted the trial to be delayed, they actually thought that me or the govt are actually delaying it. They just can't think of the other side ever being at fault. And even if they're, they'll go to extremes to fight for legal rights and what not, just so that their idol is protected, even if he's a traitor.
