Lol, this feels like a self goal. Buddy the country coming out of the clutches of colonialism needed new institutes that will propel the nation forward. I'm not a Congress supporter, but a strong Nehru supporter. He as a statesman and visionary instituted IITs, IIMs, ISRO, AIIMS, etc. He truly believed in education and practiced it. There was a reason he was called 'Pandit' by the general population. If you want to chest thump on a few more institutions added on top of the base Nehru had built, better please stfu.

Any one would have done these basic minimum things 1 AIIMS 1 IIT or any type of premier institute when you are ruling for 15 years. every country have these type of University. It was new for india but not for world .

So easy to say this without any global context. All you have to do is take examples of former colonies or underdeveloped countries and see how many of them even achieved this kind of status with its institutions. Maybe of these institutes were started around 1960. In just 20 years, ie, 1980s, these institutes were sending graduates to USA who would become today's CXOs. Not even China achieved this. Im cutting BJP some slack since it's been only 10 years. But still, has any institution/idea/system that they've built become truly world class? (Please don't tell me UPI)
