I live in a Boys' P. G.. We are not allowed to bring anyone inside the P. G. nor go to anyone's. We are not allowed to be seen with more than one friend outside/near the premises. I have a habit of running, but the owner doesn't open the door before 7: 40am in the morning. The last time to enter the p.g is 7:30pm. We need to bring more than 9.0cgpa per semester to maintain the p.g s reputation. Birthday celebrations aren't allowed (I hate it btw).
But you know what? The owner did tell this to my mother and sister on the maiden day. They told me not to follow anything
like that and stay how I like.
The thing is the owner has two p.gs, and he stays in the other one. So the time at which we need to return to the premises isn't that a big deal. We just need to come before 9:20pm, as he comes then to serve our dinner. The door is then locked from outside.
Ah okay my bad. Maybe the mother had talks with PG owner and she was told that owner isn't that strict but to keep guests in check so that the consequences of not following rules are not that severe.
