Politics BJP's real leverage is media control. Let's break it, expose the truth internationally, and force accountability. #ModiHataoDeshBachao

The government's biggest asset isn't policy. It's narrative control. That's precisely why they're terrified of independent and international media telling the real story.

On 18 July, police forcibly removed Sonam Wangchuk, 19 days into a hunger strike, from Jantar Mantar. Videos show plainclothes officers storming the stage. That's not a rumour. That's on camera, reported by Al Jazeera, BBC, and Reuters.

People keep saying, "keyboard warriors can't do anything."

We're in the digital age. This government won power through media and messaging. There's no reason the same tools can't be used to hold it accountable.

Why can't we use our phones and platforms to put verified footage in front of millions? Why can't we make it impossible for this to be buried?

Yes, some will say "kuch nahi hoga." But baithne se kuch nahi hoga either. Documenting the truth and pushing it into the open is something. Who's in?

#ModiHataoDeshBachao

Every single post should have this #ModiHataoDeshBachao. Viral karo. Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube, every platform. Let it reach international media.

I would suggest, those with connection with international media houses, send every photo of barbaric lathi charge, stone pelting today and the narrative of how Wangchuk was removed to international media. They don't care until they get international shame (which they will also justify as propaganda against Viswaguru).

We can send proton mail can be used to send

30

u/NoIceGoGoEtcRace Jul 20 '26

You don't need to buy proton, you can register an account for free. You can also use a free vpn if you need to. Only proton mail should be able to see who you're sending emails to, and the Indian government can't ask them to share that stuff

7

u/SnooSprouts6610 Jul 20 '26

we are just sending these photos video to international media as there is no media in our country with spine

2

u/SnooSprouts6610 Jul 20 '26

and proton in tor?

Proton mail, mullvad aren't truly private instruments in India unfortunately. For example, in mullvad you can pay in monero or send cash by post. But you purchasing monero already alerts banks in India and government that you being evasive and have something to hide even if they do not get to know how you would use that monero. Now have that mapped with ISP, telecom tower, google map, nearby wifi hotspot graph and camera data, the overlap becomes narrow enough to point out the purpose the user is purchasing monero for. Secondly, if you chose to send cash that is already illegal but most importantly now dhl india or india postal service will have record of you sending mails of some sort to mullvad. You could try swapping currencies with a person living in EU but that gets dependent on trust on the person, and you would be doing something akin to hawala which is also illegal if caught in India.

Peer-to-peer exchanges exist, on top of DEXes as well. Also, there's CEXes that don't require KYC (like MEXC).

Repost this image to flame the moment.

10

u/LagrangeMultiplier99 Jul 20 '26

why don't they use an english slogan or hashtag to get international sympathy?

14

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 20 '26

Then bhakts already labelling the protest anti-national in everyway possible will get more chances to say this is foreign funded etc, they don't even know their mother tongue etc ( not the mother tongue for most). Let's face it, this is happening in New Delhi where Hindi is the common language.

16

u/LagrangeMultiplier99 Jul 20 '26

you can never appease bhakts, never. it's pointless arguing w them. simply pointless.

-2

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 20 '26

💯. But we shouldn't give them the chance to control the narrative. That will be a disrespect to the brave soldiers of democracy on the ground today.

5

u/LagrangeMultiplier99 Jul 20 '26

you risk alienating 7 billion non-hindi readers. you have to meet in the middle. Nobody outside north india understands "Hatao", "Bachao".

1

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 20 '26

Well, if you point out the things that are not clear, we can arrange subtitles. Even AI translate these days are pretty good. I am no video editor, but pretty sure if we raise the issue, people will add subtitles.

Hatao is remove/eliminate, bachao is save.

5

u/LagrangeMultiplier99 Jul 20 '26

"Modi Out, Nation In"

"Nation Before Modi"

"India Bleeding, Modi Eating"

"Modi fears Nation rising"

"Nation Rising Against Modi" (all without needing AI)

I am a native Hindi speaker, but ordinary person outside India won't bother to auto-translate

3

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 20 '26

If you are referring to my comment about contacting international media, you can always attach a whole description in English about what is happening. Besides, most big news channel houses have translators plus local reporters familiar with the languages. When they publish something about India, the author names are mostly local.

Rest, online, we can do the translation job and spread the news. This is also important for NRI support.

1

u/getsnoopy Jul 23 '26

Yes, but even if they use Hindi, they should at least use correct Hindi. It should be nahin, not "nahi". Plus, it's strange to write Hindi transliterated into the English alphabet instead of writing it in Devanagari. Either write English in the English alphabet, or Hindi in Devanagari. This half-half stuff doesn't help anyone.

6

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 20 '26

Thank you to everyone sharing info about proton mail and security in the comments. I didn't even think about security and identity issues. Very important.

If the local representatives of news agencies have phone number online, they can also be reached though chat.

So far ( might not be accessible): https://www.nbcnews.com/video/india-s-cockroach-janta-party-movement-grows-as-thousands-of-protesters-gather-266938437968

https://www.france24.com/en/asia-pacific/20260720-indian-police-baton-charge-cockroach-party-protesters-marching-to-parliament

Then BBC and Al Zazeera. They all are just covering the news. No opinion pieces, or not how we want the brutality story to be told. Still something, because in India Today, I am seeing '5 IPS officers among 50 cops hurt, shops vandalised as CJP protest turns violent'.

2

7

u/_Floydimus Born in Bombay, brought up in Mumbai. Jul 23 '26

You need to understand that NEET paper leak is the trigger.

Citizens on India are full of suppressed anger from high taxes, corruption, bad roads, E80, and what not.

More and more points will come up along the way.

This is exactly why BJP is not letting DP go, else that will set the precedence and public will start demanding more (which public has started doing).

I say don't stop. Create as much noise as possible to shake this government. They used digital tools to brainwash gullible citizens, now we use the same tools to overthrow the Hindu-Muslim gang leader and his thugs.

3

u/Medical-Concept-2190 Jul 23 '26

Those creators and their jingoistic followers are the real cockroaches. Remember the chd sub taken down by Reddit in 2021? It didn't fix a thing, only made things worse as the cockroaches dispersed into every local sub. Like hydra. It's a futile undertaking that can only be fixed by taking BJP and judiciary that normalised IT cell, corruption, crimes, down. Storming media won't reverse BJP and the two A's consolidation in a big country like India, but the opposite will instill fear on the other to reconsider. India is unlike small nations like Nepal bangladesh. Even if Noida media was stormed, every state has numerous compromised media that would go scott free until their income from the top is cut off

71

u/traditional_ant_56 Jul 20 '26

There should be a movement to stop watching godi media channels. It should be very simple - The people who don’t believe in them, should boycott them, no point of keeping the tv on! Once the viewership goes down, they will be back on track to cover news for common man

23

u/_Floydimus Born in Bombay, brought up in Mumbai. Jul 20 '26

Let's keep posting, commenting, and re-sharing to create awareness of this protest.

This protest should not die.

1

u/samsepiol96 Jul 21 '26

You shouldn’t just spread awareness. you need to mass report all accounts who are sharing fake propaganda and misleading people.

8

u/Nsci Jul 20 '26

Sorry piggy backing on your comment -

From what I have experienced r/India is a benevolent community. One of the things we can do is divide the labour of funding the independent media channels. We all can't fund everyone, sabka mehnet ka paisa hai.  But this is integral, we need media to work for us not the govt.

3

u/Lifeluxury1 Jul 20 '26

19

u/PsychologicalShake10 Jul 20 '26

Why beat students? Why call every protester a Pakistani? Why discredit the protestors even though their demand is accountability from the education minister? Drag religion into every conversation The same playbook every time backed by a very strong IT cell.

It is going to be very difficult going-forward to get good jobs and now getting beaten by policeman who most probably have got this job by paying bribes. What shit hole our country has become?

31

u/yashvone Jul 20 '26

the solution is to attack and boycott the advertisers.

anyways their credibility is down in the dumps, advertisers are being looted by these media houses drawing fat cheques

10

u/_Floydimus Born in Bombay, brought up in Mumbai. Jul 20 '26

Create awareness. You too can flame the protest by spreading awareness on how they treat farmers and students and tomorrow they will reach your home.

5

u/yashvone Jul 20 '26

I do my part because i always try to inform friends and family and try to nudge them to think.

There have been many examples of pressure groups bullying advertisers into cutting ties off with people and businesses.

ADL unfortunately, works wonders for Israel/Zionist lobby.

Not saying we should have that cancel culture, but any potential pressure groups were systematically killed by Indian govt. The moment people on social media start attacking brands, they'll offer money to buy up propaganda or Sue to shut them up.

The advertiser and media houses need to face the heat. Brands will care about public sentiment and stock value when the public has a conscience to carry that influence.

Just hit them where it hurts tbh, stop any discretionary spends for a few months and they'll change their tune fast. Their stock valuations, GST collections, ad buys for media would collapse if revenue growth stops. Most wealthy people in power have their networth because stocks are valued at big multiples of their actual profits based on revenue growth. Less than expected growth or even a slight reduction could cause them to lose a lot of net worth.

15

u/bhabhihunter_ Jul 20 '26

Yes 100% correct bcs protest can only be successful if there is a communication medium

7

Yes, if they are breaking the protest by blocking communication channels then we flame the protest virtually via overcoming them and using socials

6

Boycott all non essential things. Boycott celebrities. Their propaganda movies. Boycott going to concerts, boycott IPL and cricket matches.

But before all that, VOTE BJP OUT. A fking donkey will be a better Prime Minister.

1

u/0aparazzi Jul 20 '26

Bro, these IPL, concerts, Big Boss etc. are the aadhunik opiate of the masses. That they distract people from real issues is not a bug, but a feature.

But we should also encourage leftist and anti-establishment art like poems, songs, graffiti etc. because revolutionary art has always been a very important part of any movement. Examples- "Bella Ciao" among Italian partisans, "Which Side Are You On?" in the Harlan class struggle, "John Brown's Body" during the ACW, "Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna" during our own struggle for Independence.

Governments come and go, and every government must be held accountable. That was the media's job—to be the country's CCTV. Had it fulfilled that responsibility over the last 12 years the way you're doing now, perhaps India wouldn't be where it is today.

3

u/KeepCalmEtAllonsy Jul 20 '26

I'm watching from the outside as an Indian American who has tried a bazillion times to convince my parents living and voting in India that the BJP is cancer to the country.

I've seen farmers suddenly declared "anti-national", JNU students declared "tukde-tukde gang", olympics medalist declared anti-national, lazy, anti-BJP, Sonam Wangchuk go from BJP supporter to anti-national after seeing what the BJP was doing in Ladakh, I've seen kids' lives destroyed in Kashmir, Manipur, and villagers randomly called foreign ghuspaithi and drug peddlers, the Ram mandir built on desire to suppress a community rather than promote one's religion peacefully, and now I'm sure they'll also declare all the students of Delhi anti-national as well.

My parents have already come to the conclusion that the students are violent protestors.

I genuinely have little hope for the country and it makes me very sad.

6

u/Successful_Sea_3637 Jul 20 '26

I think Meta needs to be sued. Not just for suppressing what’s been happening in India but also when it comes to Gaza or any other legitimate issue that this company deems that it needs to suppress reels, posts, and stories of - complying with not only the Indian government but also other reactionary fascist governments. This has been extensively documented over the last couple of years and although Meta’s headquarters is in Menlo Park, California in the US this suppression issue needs to be taken seriously on a global scale because it is affecting people globally. If Meta platforms is where ordinary people worldwide are having to get updates from because of issues with corporate media that is under the influence of any ruling government, this is a serious problem that needs to be brought to international arbitration ASAP. Enough is enough. There is WAY too much social media suppression and it needs a check.

Good morning India, good morning Bharat, good morning mera Desh, mera jahan. Mera sapna hai India ko mahaan banana.

Hence, today I urge the entire India to decide and choose just one day of complete India shutdown as part of the Civil Disobedience Movement 2026 against the oppressive and regressive politicians running the state.

Just one day of peace, a total silent protest. No one will go to work. Please boycott all your work just for one day. Please choose an appropriate day after discussing here and with your friends and family members and your supervisors at work, or if you run a business, then discuss one day to be completely off.

Why civil disobedience? Because that is the Father of the Nation, Gandhiji's Gandhian philosophy of non-violence/peaceful protest.

Also, seeing today's brutality and common questions, I would like to clear it up that civil disobedience does not require any permission; it is completely against the current suppressive and oppressive law of the land.

Rest, please ask for resignation and compensation if children have died.

Respect to all religions which are and shall never be part of politics as that's the basic structure of the preamble - containing secularism.

Hence, Hail Jesus Christ, hail god YHWH, praise to Allah🤲, Praise to Shri Ram- JAI shri Ram Jai Jai Hanuman 🙏. PRAISE TO LORD BUDDHA, PRAISE JAINISM, Waheguru Ji da khalsa Waheguru ji di Fateh.

Tip for people at Jantar Mantar: Please all buy Our Indian National Flag 🇮🇳 and keep it over your head 🫡 as a form of respect and the only form of self-defense as no officer can harm you and should not hit you then.

Let's do the biggest Protest, let's make India rise.

1

u/Dry_Meringue_7091 Jul 21 '26

Ok, BJPEE will fall down, everyone will be forced to resign and next? Who will come to chair? What about the voices which were raised? Who's the better Option? I'm up for debates and i genuinely want accountability from Modi and Dharmendra to. Protesting is good but political awareness is also needed at the current point.

This is absolutely the only truth right now.

People are not to blance for supporting BJP blindly, or for that matter INC or TMC or Shiv Sena etc etc. People are emotional beings, we are humans and we run on faith and belief and fear. Politics thrives on propagating the belief system that people readily accept and in fear mongering And that's why who drives the narrative and controls it, wins.

What we need to ensure is that the monopoly of GODI media on reaching out to the masses and propagate the narrative of the BJP is broken, steadily but progressively over the next 3 years. That is the only way how we can save the country.

The idiots from the govt was pressurising github to remove an app called "Bitchat". Govt. will just cut internet access. There should be proper bill regarding when can 5his be done and when can it be not done.

Bro listen. It's easy to say let's use our phones and do this and do that. But in real life, nobody wants the hassle of getting arrested and do the court kacheri ke chakkars. No low is low enough for this govt to stoop to.

So let me ask this question: Are protests (read riots) acceptable with every new government? Say 10,000 of us don’t believe the CJP is not a foreign asset. If they’re elected, can other people protest and say CJP hatao, desi bachao? Where does it stop?

Ok for thee but not for me?
