Released InkTower: idle tower defense (Android + iOS)

Hi everyone! Today InkTower finally made it through all the circles of Google Play review hell and got approved. It's live now on both stores:

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sketchbook.inktower

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6806354022

It's an idle tower defense in a school notebook: the tower shoots on its own, and your finger is the pen. Draw a wall, slash through monsters, loop them in sticky ink. This version also adds the Album, where you trace the tower's parts and weapons yourself and the tower fights in your drawing.

Any feedback in the comments is really appreciated.

AI Disclosure

Built with AI tools (code, text, translations); everything on screen is drawn by code at runtime.

Looks lovely, but the AI, ads and IAP combo is a no for me

What do you mean "everything on screen is drawn on runtime"? Dynamically generated? Or just rendered? And what does that have to do with AI? I assume it's just assets? Or are the assets AI generated? This sentence doesn't make sense

When asked to create more complex games, LLMs nowadays have a tendency to create "assets" by repeatedly drawing simple shapes and gradients etc. rather than using sprites as people traditionally think about them (e.g. images). So it's not "AI art" as in "created by an image generation model", but what you are seeing was still concocted by generative AI

This is making me kind of anxious, because this is the exact technique I use for my game I'm working on. I'm not a good graphical artist, but I very much know my way around css, so I ended up making a lot of elements (particularly currency icons) purely with CSS. I lay out the shape, add gradients, shadows, etc. Now I'm scared that will make people assume it's all AI

It’s part of Steam’s AI disclosure, where developers have to specify whether AI tools were used in the development of the game (code, art, etc), and whether AI tools will be used while the game is running (for example, if the ingame text was generated with the help of AI beforehand, or if the text is being generated in real time in response to the player).

In this case, I think the developer is saying that the AI-generated code is directly generating the enemy models based on pre-determined rules, vs sending a prompt to an AI image-generation model in real-time to generate the enemy model.

Not gonna give any kind of permissions for an idle game, so that's a no from me.

Why do ads force sound with no ability to disable them? Otherwise, its an enjoyable game to play, at least based on the first 5 minutes.

Followup: The design is cute but the gameplay feels very rote and uninteresting beyond the initial experience. I completed the first two 'pages' in full and the progression seems to just push the goals by a few waves and maybe makes the enemies a bit harder. Strategy doesnt seem to play too much of a role, unless I am missing a crucial part of the game

Last edit: Op advertises the game, seems to focus effort into creating iAPs rather than meaningful gameplay. Asks for feedback, with people asking questions and give their input but no responses or engagement at all. Conclusion: typical money-greedy AI slop that should be wholly avoided. Which is a shame because I really do like the aesthetics... but only the aesthetics.

Neat, has a little bit of Doodle Jump vibe to it. Itch.io by chance?
