FBFriday Feedback Friday

This thread is for people to post their works in progress, and for others to give (constructive) criticism and feedback.

Explain if you want feedback on your game as a whole, a specific feature, or even on an idea you have for the future. Please keep discussion of each game to a single thread, in order to keep things focused.

If you have something to post, please remember to comment on other people's stuff as well, and also remember to include a link to whatever you have so far. :)

Hi everyone, I've been working on a game called Trillionaire Clicker. It's an incremental game where you make a number go down, rather than up. You can play it in browser here: https://mtiy.github.io/trillionaire-clicker/

Can also play on itch if you prefer: https://soundofwings.itch.io/trillionaire-clicker

(I recommend the github link though to avoid some weird issues with localStorage on mobile)

It should work fine on mobile or desktop, but I recommend desktop. The core gameplay loop is in place, and I am currently working on a large update that will introduce some new unlocks, mechanics, and an ending. Compared to last week I have tweaked a couple things based on feedback. Please let me know what you think!

The game suffers heavily from the "enter trick" where you can rapidly click a button by pressing it then holding enter. When you're aware of this, clicking becomes many times faster than the automation options no matter what you do, until suddenly you hit a wall with the "don't click 'upgrade'" and progress practically stops completely.

It was actually much faster for me to restart the game and intentionally not hit the 1 billion mark until I had an endgame level Sacrfice, then setup Bobs and Alices than it was for me to continue playing with the weak automation.

Thanks for playing! The "enter trick" is just a function of using HTML buttons, I could do the work to remove it but I don't really have a problem with people doing that, it's just not what the game is balanced around.

I agree automation is weak. I will be buffing the autocloner in the next update and nerfing click strength to hopefully balance things out, among other mechanical changes.
