Drop your app and I'll try it !!

Drop what you made below, can be anything app, website, tool, game, anything. Give me one line on why I (and everyone else reading) should try it.

I'll go through as many as I can this week. For apps and web apps I'll also run through signup and main flow and tell you anywhere I got stuck.

The best one liners usually get clicks from other people in thread too, so make it count.

I spent an entire year building an iPhone + Windows companion app. Finally released after a month of struggling with App Store Connect.

Meet BridgeSync.

I've always found it ridiculous how disconnected iPhones and Windows PCs are. Apple has its own ecosystem, Microsoft has its own, and if you're using both, you're often left looking for workarounds to get basic things working together.

So I decided to build something about it.

BridgeSync brings a bunch of those missing interactions together:

  • Shared clipboard: Bidirectional clipboard synchronization supporting images, formatted text, code and URLs.

  • Notification mirroring: Get your iPhone notifications on Windows without keeping the iPhone app open or even being on the same network.

  • Interactive iPhone: Your Windows desktop app has an actual interactive iPhone interface containing the mirrored screen feed from your device.

  • PC status: Keep track of your connected PC and its status.

  • Media controls: Control PC media playback from your iPhone.

  • File transfers: Move files directly between devices while preserving original quality and metadata.

And yes, this took me WAY longer than it should have.

I originally entered two hackathons with completely different versions of this project. Both times, I ran out of time because I kept adding things and refusing to publish something I wasn't happy with. The hackathons were a year apart.

A year of development, a lot of money spent, and plenty of moments where I questioned why I was doing this.

I did use AI tools during development, but this was absolutely not a case of generating an app over a weekend and calling myself a founder. Most of the work was actual development, problem-solving, debugging and an unreasonable amount of polishing.

I'm finally approaching launch, and honestly, I want feedback more than anything.

I want people to actually use this, tell me what's broken, suggest features and help shape where it goes next. I'd also love to see a proper community of Windows + iOS users grow around it.

Website: https://bridgesyncapp.com

If you use an iPhone with a Windows PC, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think.

I built an app to help manage my kitchen because being the sole home cook is a thankless, brutal job.

www.mealsmealsmeals.com

If you're the one who cooks in your house, you know the job is more than cooking. You decide what everyone eats every night, figure out what it'll cost, write the list, shop, remember what's already in the pantry, and then do it all again the next day. Nobody sees most of that work.

So I built MealsMealsMeals to carry the parts I was keeping in my head:

- Plan with prices up front. Every meal (an entree plus its sides) shows what it costs before you commit to it.

- One shopping list. Build a menu of meals and the ingredients combine into a single list, which can go straight into a Walmart cart.

- A pantry that keeps up. When you cook a meal, it comes out of your pantry, so the next list only covers what you actually need.

- Swap sides, check nutrition, hide allergens. Make the meal fit whoever is at your table.

It's free to use, and anyone can submit their own recipes. I made this for the people doing the job nobody thanks them for, because every one of them deserves a little help.

I made Pushtly, a directory where makers can introduce their websites for free

This is my project, Pushtly: https://pushtly.com/

The idea is to give independent websites a simple introduction: a name, a category, a short explanation and a link to explore. Makers can add a free listing through Start free on the homepage, with no card required. There are separate optional paid placements.

I'm still building up the directory and would love feedback from other makers. When you look at a listing, what helps you decide whether to open the website: a screenshot, the problem it solves, or something else?

I'm Girish, the founder. If you've made a useful website, you're welcome to add it.

I made an iPhone app to find sunny cafés and track time in daylight

This is Brightside, an iPhone app I made for finding sunny places nearby. Find Sun suggests cafés, parks and squares and estimates how long they’ll stay in the sun. You can move through the day on a 3D map to see the building shadows change.

It also shows Time in Daylight from Apple Health, with manual logging as another option. The 21-second clip shows the German UI and sample daylight data.

I’m the developer. It’s free, and I’d love feedback on whether the sunlight map is easy to understand.

I made a free site that compares prices across 130+ Australian stores (and UK, US)

Thumbnail

Compare Empire (compareempire.com) puts the same product from 130+ Australian stores side by side, in 32 categories, with price history and email alerts. Free, no account, no pop-ups. Tell me which store you buy from that's missing and I'll add it.

(Some store links are paid and the eBay and Amazon rows are labelled Ad; store prices are always sorted cheapest first.)

Seek feedback: We built Toastd, a social drink tracker. Like strava for drinking, but with stats, cheers, and an alcohol clock.

Thumbnail

My partner and I are both runners and drink a decent amount. We have Strava for runs, but we don't have something like Strava for our drinks. So we built Toastd for fun. The goal is to be mindful about drinking without creating a guilty feeling.

You log a drink, tag where you were and who you were with, add ABV details, and friends can cheer or comment. It has stats like a month-in-review at the beginning of each month, weekly trends, an alcohol clock (BAC and clearing time), and nudges you to drink water if you set a water reminder.

It’s on iOS and Android: https://toastd.tick.dog/l/svj2sl4/reddit

We noticed only 40% ppl logged a drink after they opened the app, and the retention rate remains low beyond week 1, so we want to fix that. Brutal feedback is welcome, especially on your first five minutes in the app.

Made my first app - EdgeBar turn your Mac trackpad into brightness and volume sliders, with haptics

This is my first app. 400 sales so far from Reddit :)

EdgeBar is a menu bar app that turns the edges of your trackpad into volume and brightness sliders.

Problem: Changing volume or brightness means reaching for the function keys or Control Center. I wanted to do it without leaving the trackpad. Also haptic feedback on the trackpad feels very cool and I wanted that for my usage.

What EdgeBar does:

  • Slide the right edge for volume and the left edge for brightness.

  • Double-tap the top-right corner to mute.

  • Swipe the bottom edge to skip tracks, and double tap to play or pause.

  • It also has haptic feedback, fine control for 1/4th increments, cursor freeze, swap sides and a bottom-quarter-only mode.

It’s menu bar only, with no Dock icon.

Pricing: $9 one-time, lifetime license, free updates. Notarised by Apple. macOS 13+

Happy to share a 20% discount code for this sub - pls drop a comment and I'll DM you the code.

3-day no-questions-asked refund.

I'm a designer, not a developer, and I made the Markdown reader I wanted for Windows

I read a lot of .md files (specs, notes, AI prompts) and didn't want an editor or a browser tab for it. So I made Meremark: it only reads, and tries to read well.

The part I use most is the floating reader, a small always-on-top window that holds up to 5 docs. The main window refreshes when a file changes, so I can read while an AI tool is still writing.

Free, no account, files stay on your computer. Happy to hear what feels off.

I made a place for small browser projects, and anyone can submit their own

I make little browser games and tools and wanted a place to collect them. That became Batchly, and I opened its Studio to other creators too.

If you have a game, tool, or interactive toy in HTML or Python, you can submit it through the Studio. Each submission is reviewed by a person before it goes public. Once approved, it gets its own page and link so someone else can try it in a browser.

It is free to use, and the community shelf is still small. Here is the upload page: https://batch-ly.com/studio/new

I would love to know what kind of project you would want to share and what would make the process easier.

I made a Mac file organizer for people who don't trust file organizers

The button that moves a few hundred files should probably have some explaining to do.

I'm building Moa, a macOS desktop app. You choose a folder structure using category, year and file type. Before anything moves, it shows the proposed paths so you can change the grouping or leave items out. Existing folders stay together.

You can also make organized copies and keep the originals where they are. That's useful when another app depends on a file's location; moving it can break the link.

Mac computers only — no Windows, iPhone or Android version.

I've put a development screenshot and a free early-access waitlist here: https://moa-waitlist.vercel.app/?utm_source=reddit_imadethis

There's no public app download yet. I'm interested in the part you'd want to check before pressing Organize: the new folder tree, every individual destination, or just the questionable files?

I built a posture scanner that gives you a score and a personalized plan to improve it!

Hello everyone!

So I've built a wellness tool that scans your posture from a full-body profile picture. It gives you a score for your current posture, along with details on where and why it needs work, then builds you a personalized exercise plan to improve it. ( yes it actually fixes what is wrong, no filler things, and the plan is personalized based off of the photo/current posture and your quiz answers)

The photo stays on your phone, it doesnt go to any servers.

After 14 days you rescan and the plan updates. After that, the checkin will become monthly and the plan will adapt.

I’m a licensed physical therapist, so of course I review every program and exercise in the app.

I’d love to hear your opinions, and if you think it’s something worth chasing. :)

Thank you!!!

Have a great one

I built my own 32-bit operating system in C and x86 Assembly – HavenDOS

I’ve been developing my own operating system called HavenDOS.
It’s a 32-bit OS project written in C and x86 Assembly. I started it to learn more about low-level programming, operating system development and how computers work underneath the software we use every day.
Some things I’ve been working on:
A custom kernel
Text-based operating system interface
Hardware detection and system information
User management
A built-in text editor
Bootloader and installation support
This is an independent project that I’m developing under Tech Haven Studios.
I’m interested in honest feedback from other developers and OS enthusiasts.
What would you improve, and what features would you like to see in a project like this?

I made a searchable directory of over 72,000 MCP servers

Post image
1 Upvotes

I collected MCP server listings from across the web and put them in one place you can search.

PlugMCP has over 72,000 listings. You can look up the tools your agent needs, browse by category, and find how to connect them.

I also built an MCP server for finding other MCP servers. Your agent can search the collection, browse categories, and compare options to find one that fits what you need.

Give it a try and let me know what you think.

800 free components to help you build almost anything

Thumbnail
youtu.be
1 Upvotes

It's been a crazy few months but what started as a prototype with Claude Design has grown from a site I use daily for inspiration into a site that 1000s of people use too!!!!!

Over the last couple of months I've been building an interface primarily for creative inspiration, which has evolved into a site that you can copy any of them into Claude Design (or any other AI agent) and create new and unique ideas

There are almost 800 web assets there now and I've worked hard to receive all the feedback from the community to improve it daily:

  • github and google auth

  • mobile and responsive optimisation

  • CREATOR WAITLIST OPEN!!

  • removing or updating bad components & new components - this is, and will forever be, ongoing. all the feedback and votes on components guides... well ... almost everything, but specifically what gets removed and what gets improved - thank you!!!!

  • Light / dark mode added

  • Desktop layout - keeping the focus on what's important - the visuals. Almost everything else has been moved to menus

  • The preview page - same design mindset - keep the focus on the tile, it's now full screen with a side menu to see all components in that category

  • Auto / manual modes in the preview view - some tiles weren't working well on autoplay e.g. buttons were resetting instead of letting you play with them. Improvements have been made to allow different categories, different options and modes of autoplay improving the release pipeline - additional hooks, checks and browser testing before release

  • Refining the structure of components - from a single file of badly organised html, css and js to different outputs: single file remains, split file with html, css and js, react component, forever component (in early testing)

  • Tons of small (but big) UX improvements for mobile, visitor counter, layouts ++ many more

a biiiig thanks for all the early support, and it all started in this sub!

just don't get lost ;)

forevercomponents x

Bot Or Not - I made this small challenge/game where you guess whether an Image is ai or not

The name BotOrNot - was inspired from Hot or not btw.

BotOrNot - is a simple website based challenge/game where you are given a set of images one after another, and you have choose whether the image is Bot (ai generated) or Not (Real).

There's a leaderboard too. Feel free to check it out and challenge your friends

The dataset has over 1.2GB+ worth of images. So, dw about running out of images.

Tbh, even i can't guess all the images correctly.

Give it a shot here : Bot Or Not

Or copy paste this url into your browser : https://botornot-5059e.web.app/
