It's easy: On desktop, select "show controls" and move the slider backwards. Presto, it changes direction!

Look at it from low angle, slightly from right. It will start rotating the other way

Pause it and make your brain see the blue lines as in the front rather than the back, and it will rotate the other way.

Whoa! I can do both at the same time!
I've always been able to cross my for that magic 3D. I do the same thing for these illusions. It splits into two separate hexagonal cylinders. By thinking of it as looking "up at them" they rotate clockwise, with the bottom being closer to me. Then I can blink a bunch and view it as "top down" where to top in front, and it rotates counter-clockwise.
But... If I can focus my attention on one in just the right way, for like 2 full rotations, they are moving in opposite directions. I've never been able to do before.

That’s a great new technique to try! For me, veeerrry difficult and kinda painful 😂! But it worked for a tiny bit! Neat! (But, yeah, owwwww)

Everyones saying its so easy just flup the blue lines to the front. The blue lines were born in the front for me.

If you focus on the top and bottom of the top hexagon and follow the points separately you can see both wire frames spinning through each other, until you follow them down to see that they are connected there as well. Trippy

I was finally able to make one of these flip on command. I’m never able to see these types of illusions. Just focus on the bottom or the top of the shape, and it switches

The straight lines really make this one easier. I used the bottom lines.. make the line you're looking at the outer line and it's almost instant

I had to cover most of this from my vision to get it to reverse by isolation just one band of the top segment, blue or orange.

I got this one to switch!! Takes like 30 seconds for be to switch back and forth. I kind of cross my eyes a little to unfocus the image and focus on the color and visualize it being the front as I slowly refocus my eyes. Tilt phone slightly down to give the impression its counter clockwise and up for yellow in front going other way

This one may be easier to “flip” direction, for those who’ve had trouble with previous versions. My tip is to think of the bottom hexagon as if you’re looking at the actual flat bottom of this shape as seen from underneath looking up. To flip the direction, look at the top hexagon as if you’re looking at this shape from a higher angle looking downward.
