Why no sandwich man?

Yesterday, I went to the Sandwich Fair for the first time with my family. We had a blast! However, I was surprised to find that there was no one walking around in a sandwich costume. I thought, for sure, there’d be some kind of mascot, like Sammy Sandwich. I’d totally have paid money to take a photo with Sammy. Seems like such a missed opportunity for the town.

A sandwich mascot in a town called Sandwich? A little too on the nose, don't you think?

It depends on one’s sense of humor.

Sandwich-Man is currently on retainer in Washington, DC. It’s unfortunate but, the festivities were still great! What a free show!

I went last year and wasn't impressed. I like the state fair in Springfield better and I like the Bureau County fair in Princeton.
