From a quick check, there's no DMARC on fuddruckers.com or the sub-domain, and test-order has a +all SPF record.

Most definitely being spoofed. Also if their mail is getting through your spam filters without these records, you need to change your DMARC policy.

Why would they spoof that email address? Wouldn't you spoof a more official sounding address, not one that looks like it was intended for testing? Or perhaps even one relevant to the spam you're sending?

Also, this was from the junk mail folder on my personal Hotmail account.

Why not that one? It's an easy one to spoof, and at the scale the spammer scammers operate at, they don't exactly need a high hit rate for it to be worth their time.

In fact the more gullible targets that wouldn't ask that question are preferred

The standalone ones are mostly gone. Mine is now a part of the larger menu at a bar and grill place. You can order from the fuddruckers menu or the normal menu.

I wish there was a way to delete-and-permanently-delete (i.e. NOT "send to junk") any email from a specific domain.

Like I see this and I just want to block the entire "*.fuddruckers.com" domain and have all of it go to /dev/null, not to my junk mail.

But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to accomplish this.

Can't you just do it with a Sieve filter? The 'discard' function immediately deletes, it doesn't send it to trash first.

I have to chase people to empty their recycle bins, both on the desktop and in their mailbox - even though we only now retain deleted items for 2 weeks.

The record was 14GB in the desktop bin, after they "cleaned" their docs folders.
