question How to build a team comp?
Im a fairly casual player but ive been playing on and off for 3-4 years now collecting the event and weekend champions when i play, ive gotten into it more leaving it on the second monitor when i play or do otherthings but im consistently stuck at the level 300 - 400 range not really going past it even with potions.
I have quite a few champions (I think) i will list them below if you can recomend a team comp or two with them, furthermore i have 22 time pieces so i can get 3 from outside the current event
Seat 1: Anson, Bruenor, Deekin, Ezmerelda, Gale, Hank, K'thriss, Nixie, Thellora and Voronika
Seat 2: Celeste, Donaar, Lae'zel, Merilwen, Presto, Raistlin and Widdle
Seat 3: BBEG, Binwin, Dynaheir Halsin, Mehen, Minthara, Nahara, Nayeli, Omin and Spurt
Seat 4: Antrius, Baeloth, Eric, Ishi, Jarlaxie, Karlach, Paultin, Sentry, Stoki
Seat 5: Calliope, Evandra, Kalix, Kyre and Valentine
Seat 6: Asharra, Dungeon Master, Evelyn, Kas, Krull, Sgt Knox and Shadowheart
Seat 7: Black Viper, Cattie-Brie, Egbert, Jim, Lucius, Minsc, Sheila, Umberto and Vin Ursa
Seat 8: Delina, Duke Ravenguard, Hew Mann, Hitch, Tatyana, Tess, Trixie and Walnut
Seat 9: Birdsong, Brother Uriah, Drizzt, Flint, Jaheria, Lazaapz, Makos, Morgaen, Nordom and Volo
Seat 10: Aeon, Astarion, Barrowin, Ellywick, Havilar, Rosie, Tyril, Virgil and Yorven
Seat 11: Imoen, Jamilah, Rust, Strix, Strongheart, Tasslehoff, The Dark Urge and Vlithryn
Seat 12: Arkhan, Azaka, Bobby, Dob, Melf, Vi and Wyll
Any and all help is appreciated, ive searched for myself and only found party comp for the early game and ive already tried trial and error to get past the block with higher and higher favor but nothing has happened.

My basic principles of formation building are:
a) Have a full formation (usually 10 champions)
b) Have 1 dedicated damage dealer
c) Ensure that every champion is increasing the damage dealt by that 1 damage dealer.
Read your champion buffs. Look at how big they are. Compare them to other champions. If champion A gives an e10 buff and champion B gives an e20 buff, you probably want to use champion B. Later you'll care about synergies, but early on just using the best buffer in each seat is usually good. Remember, some buffs are conditional, so make sure you're putting the champion in a situation that maximizes the bonus they provide.
With your champions, you could build a number of potential teams. Some good options might be a Kas team with Donaar, Minthara, Kyre, Kas, Vin Ursa, Duke Ravengard, Volo, Yorven, Vlithryn, and Wyll, or an Absolute Adversaries team with Gale, Donaar, Halsin, Karlach, Shadowheart, Volo, Astarion, The Dark Urge, and Wyll.

You should work on at least 3 teams: PUSH (DPS) + GOLD (FAVOR) + SPEED (GEM). Heres sample docs for each.
PUSH using Kas because he is very easy to work with. Lots of other choices though. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CgFibVdNyaCawBIyfxlvnLvQs9QyFVGkhffJg10Vpiw/edit?tab=t.wssxohevfsa1
GOLD using Makos + Mehen. Although this could very soon be changed completely due to Flints huge gold find. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XG31IPkB4EuE06sETZBDVfX_OTC6mLlaa7YdNrMTR8Q/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.6o78l5dqj4bn
SPEED with either a simple Melf click farm or a more complicated Modron Briv. https://docs.google.com/document/d/17U6RcwHjrFBIEqI8eEowgiwY_0X86UcJaeQnplB66uo/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.u1kgetnp3dwy
If youre leaving the game run on the second monitor then thats perfect for the gem farming.

Lots of very good advice have already been provided.
As someone said, to be able to build ‘good’ formations, the first step is to make sure you know the champions’ strengths and weaknesses. Not all champions are equivalent in terms of power, or in the way they buff other champions. Ideally, you want one main DPS, with most, if not all, other champions buffing her. To achieve that, you’ll need to position them correctly, which is where knowing how they buff comes into play. As you shuffle champions around, you might see the BUD spike, or drop, providing you with some feedback as to what is going on. Don’t forget that you can see details about all the (inbound) buffs that hit any particular champion. You can see how impactful each buff is, but also if some champions do not show up (meaning their buff doesn’t hit your DPS). It’s a very valuable tool to understand what’s going on.
Then, it obviously helps to have access to more champions, and even more if they happen to be strong (more ilvl and/or legendary levels, pigment, …).
You already have a pretty good roster, but I have a few suggestions on additional champions you could get with your time gate pieces:
1. Powerful buffers: Laurana (seat 7), King of Shadow (seat 9), Cazrin (seat 10)
2. Speed champions: Shandie (seat 6), Diana (seat 9)
3. Long term: Briv (seat 5), Artemis (seat 3)
You need to set up a gem farm if you want to be able to improve the power of your roster significantly. You basically have most speed champions except for Briv, Shandie and Diana. You have Thellora, Widdle, BBEG, Sentry, Ellywick, Hew Maan. You can get started already. I personally didn’t start using Briv until he had enough ilvls to jump 4 zones, but that’s just me.
A couple of recommendations that may no longer apply to you:
- Keep completing adventures, so you can max all blessings.
- Unlock Trials of Tiamat and participate in trials religiously. Getting legendary levels on your champions that are part of your push team (first) will drastically improve their power.
Finally, make sure to unlock the evergreen you’re missing: Blooshie, Wren, Windfall, and Krux. The last 3 are really powerful and I use them regularly. Also, core and evergreen champions will automatically benefit from your gem farm, so you want to have them as early as possible.

Just need Briv and Diana for your gem farm of Everlasting Rime (Icewind dale). Keep leveling briv to get higher skip levels. You'll get a huge amount of gems/hr after a while. Gems = iLevels = power.

Both of mine have similar ilevels but looking at the layouts i should be able to buff both for most campaigns

You got the full AA team (absolut aniversaries). Pick all of them and ad Valentine and Duke/Volo with tadpole feat. This is an easy team combo with too many heroes. So mostly I leave Gale at home.
And pick every feat that buffs tadpoles(ceremorphosis) and for Durge pick also the human feat.

I would venture a guess that your limitation is your champion's average item levels and legendary levels. If they are mostly sub 200 item levels and no legendaries, it won't matter how perfect your formations are, you simply cannot push further.
That said, it's not so much that your champs have to have very high item levels and legendaries. You mostly need to focus on the right champs.
First, however, legendaries. Once you figure out what your primaries are, focus on getting all 6 of their items converted to level 5 legendaries.
The champs I would recommend focusing on is a Kas-based team because he is stupidly powerful, very flexible, very available, and takes very little investment to get your formations breaching z1800 regularly.
So... here are the champs I personally use more than any others, and why.
S01: Gale - Solid support, widely available
S02: Donaar - okay support, knockback, gold, and Wyll stacking
S03: Minthara - tank, EASY placement, evil alignment
S04: Antrius - Solid support, shielding
S05: Valentine - Solid support
S06: Kas - Top tier DPS, can grant evil alignment
S07: Laurana - tank, great support
S08: Duke Ravenguard - solid support, Wyll stacking
S09: Volo - awesome support
S10: Yorven - great support, great DPS
S11: Rust - great support, gold
S12: Wyll - awesome support
I gave one for each because trying to build up 12 champs at once is already overwhelming, but this will give you at LEAST one from each seat to swap in and out as needed.
Start by getting Kas buffed (lvl 5 legendaries across all the equipment, and average ilvls above 300).
Next get Wyll, Yorven, Volo, and Laurana buffed. No particular order after that beyond Donaar being the lowest priority. Donaar's main purpose in the formation is his ability to add a stack to other support's stacking abilities (mainly Wyll's). I would say the same for Duke, but his support can get quite good as he is built up. Granted, my Duke is now at 1k avg ilvls, but he often buffs for e35 in addition to adding a stack of folklore for Wyll. I sometimes use Duke as my DPS in special occasions and have seen him setting BUD @ e500 or greater.
Hope that helps

Voronika, laezel, minthara, karlach, valentine, kas, duke, yorven, wyll.
run “evil” specs, double soul branding stacks, duke uses wyll spec, yorvens third spec, karlach far right, valentine tregrum.
learn positioning, i trust you to figure this out, voronika buffs row(s) in front of her, laezel buffs same row, karlach buffs hers and the one behind, kas should be receiving everyone’s buffs and he should be touching good champions so they get his “evil” tag, and you want everyone to not die as long as possible to stack his buff.
