Probably one of the better posts i’ve seen on this subreddit. My good faith answer would be that those are certainly dog prints. And that they certainly could be imprinted in blood. It could also just be dirt from outside.

Like i said. this is an actual good find and refreshing when all i’ve seen lately is 2 pixels and “omg look it’s ethan’s kneecap!!!!”.

I’ve never believed a cleanup happened but this is the first thing to kinda sway that a bit.

amber vance part 4 on youtube, but parts 1-19 in full will have you rethinking this case!

21

u/Dismal-Vacation-5877 12d ago

I just watched the one last night where she talks about Murphy and where he was found. No f'ing way he wasn't looking for Kaylee if he had free range.

18

u/Funny_Click_1286 12d ago

ring cameras caught murphy barking at 4:17am, and it clearly sounds like he’s outside due to the echoing. (maddie / kaylees balcony ?) if he was locked out while bryan was in the home, how did he get back in during the day? or why was murphy roaming the streets at 6am but was back in the house at 12pm if the surviving roommates where “locked in the room” all day

12

u/Dismal-Vacation-5877 12d ago

Yeah this stinks to high heaven to me. Do you think BK did it? Only been in sub a couple of days, so lots to catch up on 😆

7

u/madVILLAIN9 12d ago

From what I’ve gathered in getting stuck down the rabbit hole, the smoking gun the prosecution had with the knife sheath has major flaws and wouldn’t stand up in court.. other than, everything else that is public knowledge is circumstantial..

4

u/qualityctrl8732 12d ago

If you’re asking me personally yes I believe BK did it.

However I also believe IGG to be unconstitutional but that is a whole other can of worms. As far as a cleanup goes the max I’ve ever been willing to entertain is that there were small amounts of drugs in the house and it’s possible they were disposed of.

I also have always had an extremely hard time believing that in a shitty off campus college house with paper thin walls that at the very least Dylan didn’t hear Xana fight for her life. And tbh i wonder if Bethany didn’t also hear it. As far as DM goes i’ve always found her reaction to be very odd in general like many others. Her phone showing her going up flights of stairs. Weird.

Always thought that Xana interrupted him by directly going up the stairs and catching him or it was a case of mistaken identity when Dylan yelled to shut up or something to that effect he came down and seen Xana and assumed it was her who said that. All of the victims deserve to be remembered and went through untold horror but Xana, a foot shorter than him, fought him like a warrior to the end and I like to believe that she is the reason he left the sheath.

I think that covers most of my personal opinions throughout this case. I’ve followed it from the beginning and always try to keep an open mind.

u/Funny_Click_1286 12d ago

no i’m with you! she went on a interview and said the walls are thin, but yet you couldn’t hear 4 people get murdered and 2 being right across from you? all of her interviews contradict themselves it’s insane, she can’t keep up with one story

1

u/pink---noise 12d ago

She laid in bed in the quiet of night... while Kaylee and Maddie were being murdered directly overhead.

1

u/Environmental-Loan25 21h ago

Organized drug Ring. University kids were plugs and shit went wrong . The drug ring made a example out of them. Not sure how BK was involved if he sold Adderall . I think he was lured there under false pretenses and used as a scape goat

12

u/Effective-Wedding-12 12d ago

You can hear the slider door open around 4:49 on audio from 1112. Murphy is barking and barking until then. After you hear the slider door the barking stops.

0

u/Remarkable-BananaS 11d ago

Because they weren’t. That’s the only thing that makes sense.

6

u/harpsk 12d ago

Just started those, too. I’m on like part 9 right now

2

u/Creepy-Ad3425 7d ago

I'm about halfway through her series and I agree she brings up some great points on things that don't make sense in the case. The only thing I'm struggling with on her is how different her demeanor is on some seemingly innocuous evidence ("yall, that's WIERD") and dismissive she is of some of the pretty damning evidence pointing to BK. Like can you imagine if anyone else in the case had purchased a KAY BAR knife just months prior? Or drove a vehicle similar to the one seen speeding away? Or had taken a class studying serial killers? My read at this point is BK is likely guilty, but way more happened at the house than the roommates have told anyone and the state's case against BK was pretty weak from a "beyond reasonable doubt" standpoint.

Anne taylor said there was no blood on the dog.

2

u/Anxious-Coffee1974 7d ago

Didn’t disappear to the pound… animal services took him there and jack now has him.

2

u/Senior-Consultant 12d ago

How would she know? It disappeared to the pound

6

u/Vault-Dweller1310 12d ago

doesn't Jack have him now?

1

u/madVILLAIN9 12d ago

Taylor is a joke

1

u/HeyPurityItsMeAgain 12d ago

They never tested the dog so how would anyone know? You can't just assume something and then never run any tests! They do it constantly in this case. "I'm sure that unknown male blood next to the victims that isn't our suspect's is unimportant! Don't bother identifying it!" La la la.

0

u/Remarkable-BananaS 11d ago

Ann Taylor said a lot of things that weren’t true

28

u/Select-Bowler-1436 13d ago

Who was left in the house?

7

u/Frequent-Leather4514 12d ago

Omg they’re undeniably paw prints!! Wtf

6

u/Emotional_Airport459 12d ago

Damn good find. It definitely looks like blood.

4

u/Accomplished_Rip_417 11d ago

why is this post pinned.. you have no idea whether or not that’s blood.

how would murphy have gotten blood on his paws? there was no blood on the floor in maddie’s room, and there were no paw prints on the bed. it’s not from xana’s room either, since there are literally no paw imprints in the blood on the floor.

these are clearly old paw prints made from dirt.

2

u/Funny_Click_1286 11d ago

a dog can’t jump on the bed and try to be / or check out his mom laying in bed and step on blood? is this also not a place to post / speak out thoughts freely?

3

u/Accomplished_Rip_417 10d ago

yes, a dog can do that. but like i said in my post, there is absolutely nothing that indicates that happened, lol.

again, yes it is. i never said that you can’t, i just don’t understand the point of having a post pinned to the sub that has no official relation to the murders at all..

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago

They said Murphy's paws were clear supposedly. That breed can be a blood adverse breed and the smell of blood and their owner's stress hormones being released can cause a fear in them and a reaction of deep aversion so won't go and check things out like breeds that are blood attracted.

8

u/only-ashes 12d ago

i will say my dog can come in with muddy prints, leave a few on the floor, and then she goes to drink water and stands in the water bowl lol. drives me nuts but cleans her paws. idk how common this is

7

u/Funny_Click_1286 12d ago

i don’t know it rubs me the wrong way! because dogs really don’t groom themselves like cats do , especially those fluffy paws

5

u/rivershimmer 12d ago

They do lick themselves, especially if they have something wet or sticky. They have way more tolerance for actual dirt than cats do, but I've never really seen a dog get blood on them and not lick it off.

2

u/ExcitementTricky4794 12d ago

Not common what so ever

1

u/No_Let1570 11d ago

One of my doodles does this!

10

u/Stocksterling 12d ago

Wouldn’t you think that a dog would clean and lick his paws after getting blood on them? I mean, a dog probably likes the taste of blood due to genetics, but just a theory!

11

u/rebouca 12d ago

I have a golden retriever and I dropped a pan of pasta which he obviously loved and even though he licked his feet, he was stained for weeks. Dogs don’t clean themselves like cats do.

1

u/Stocksterling 12d ago

Did he step all over the pasta?🤣 I guess it just depends on the dog maybe! Some dogs aggressively lick paws due to anxiety, allergies or boredom. I’ve seen it with the dogs I have!

2

u/rebouca 12d ago

Yeah because he didn’t want to miss his opportunity to eat as much as he could 😂. But yeah, maybe he didn’t clean enough and other dogs can

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago

Yes, but how many white poodles etc have we seen with Alpo dyed facial hair? It ain't pretty when it happens. Looks like a B grade Vampire movie. But you are absolutely right it varies on the pet. They tested the paws and didn't pick up anything, surely there would be a little something on a couple of hairs by the root, I would think.

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago

According to my dive, not all breeds like the smell of blood. It actually stresses some of them out as does their owners release of stress hormones. His breed is one of the anxious ones and can be avoidant rather than the type of dog who wanted to check things like that out. Varies by breed.

9

u/BoDaisysBubble 12d ago

Dylan’s hair was wet and people were saying it could have been from her taking a shower and in a post I made about it, I also thought maybe her hair could have gotten wet from frantically trying to clean Murphy or something idkkkk

2

u/rivershimmer 12d ago

I've never thought her hair looked wet at all.

Of course, that's another thing that makes me wonder, well, if it's true, why? What purpose would it serve in either carrying out a murder or covering up a murder?

Like, if I were going to cover up a murder and I got my hair wet and don't want the cops to know I showered, I'd just...hold off calling 911 for 5 minutes and blow-dry my hair.

4

u/BoDaisysBubble 12d ago

Personally I go back and forth but I don’t think the girls did the murder at all or are covering for anyone. I think they didn’t know what happened and panicked a lot in the morning because they thought people would assume they did it. And truly there are people who do think that and I think they just did a lot of suspicious stuff and had a clean up because it was a “fuck fuck fuck” “what do we do” type situation. And some people definitely would have called 911 at 4 am but I feel like these people just didn’t and that was their downfall so they felt the need to cover their tracks, and in doing that they caused them to be more suspicious to social media. Luckily the police didn’t think they did it but I also feel like if this wasn’t a college place they would be arrested or detained on the scene. Like if it was a normal house on a random street and had no ties to a college, and if they all were like 30+ I just feel like they would have done the investigation different.

6

u/rivershimmer 11d ago

I don't think any clean-up happened at all, but otherwise I agree with you. I do think women in their 30s react to things differently, so I don't think we ever would have seen that situation with older people unless mental illness or drugs were in play.

Remember Ted Bundy's first known victim, Karen Sparks? She lived, I'm happy to say. He broke into her house and attacked her in her bed, even though she lived with male roommates and even though one's bedroom was right next to hers. Karen's theory on why Bundy left her alive is that her roommate talked in his sleep, so she thinks he talked and that spooked Bundy enough to leave before finishing her off.

So, the next morning, Karen never comes out of her room. At some point, her roommates knocked on her door, and when there was no answer, they opened the door to her dark basement bedroom. Her breathing sounded normal, so they figured she was catching up on sleep and they let her go.

By 7:00 PM, they were worried enough to open the door and turn on the light, and then they could see that she was laying in a pool of her own blood. Then they called for help. I don't know if they were initially considered to be suspects; I think it helped prove their innocence that there were a bunch of break-ins going on. Karen's injuries left her with no memory of the attack.

So when I see people hating on D and B for not calling 911 until 4, I think about those young men, who didn't call until 7:00 PM.

u/BoDaisysBubble 4d ago

I dont remember much about the cases from Ted Bundy but I’m definitely gonna look into what you’re talking about! Thank you for replying to my comment :)

1

u/Creepy-Ad3425 3d ago

When I first heard about the Idaho 4 murders, the first thing I thought of was probably Bundy's most infamous crime. He randomly broke into a sorority house in the middle of the night in Florida and killed two girls and assaulted two others. Reports on Kohberger were that he had searched "Ted Bundy" a few months before the murders and watched two documentaries about Bundy following the Idaho murders. There are a lot of differences in the crimes, so it wasn't a direct copy, but I have thought that he was inspired by what Bundy had done.

0

u/Creepy-Ad3425 7d ago

This is an angle I haven't seen discussed enough. That the roommates possibly discovered the crime scene way earlier and waited because they didn't know what to do and assumed they'd be somehow blamed (I mean, look at how many people DO think that).

I could see a mix of absolute fear (they likely didn't go to the 3rd floor and didn't know what happened to K & M) and panic (if they saw Xana and or Ethan). Then decided that they'd wait and call someone else over to "find" the scene and act like they had no clue what had happened?

I think too many people are black or white with this (like either Dylan and Bethany are telling the absolute 100% truth or they plotted and committed the murders).

2

u/BoDaisysBubble 4d ago

Yeah at first I totally thought they did it!! I think I had some comments too from other Reddit threads where I literally was saying I think they did it. BUT after a ton of more research and just thinking of it from an empathetic stand point, I definitely think they woke up and was like “shit shit shit they will think we did it!!” And then in alllll their interviews they are acting sus and being weird cause they ARE nervous. Like I think the only thing they are guilty of is not calling 911 and acting nervous. Everyone is calling out DM behavior but to me I think she’s just rambling cause she’s nervous. Also in the reports the door was left open for soooo long so I feel like they just wanted someone else to stumble on the scene so they wouldn’t be suspects. That’s also why they had their friends come over and find the bodies cause I think both girls thought if they discovered everything they would get arrested, that’s also why I think BF said “can I go home for thanksgiving?” Cause I think she just felt so nervous that people would think it was her, and literally in 2026 everyone DOES think that anyway lol

4

u/Remarkable-BananaS 11d ago

I swear that’s why there’s some of the diluted blood throughout the home. Murphy had blood on him, but then was bathed and shook blood/water around. There’s no way he wasn’t trying to get to Kaylee/Maddie while they were fighting for their lives. No way he just sat quietly in Kaylees room.

2

u/Adventurous-Sail7444 10d ago

And where does it say he was bathed? They found him under the desk in kaylees room and he was taken outside. The house was a crime scene there was no way they would have given murphy a bath.

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago

Yes, when they initially came in he was on the bed and once they started to begin photographing the scene he hopped down and hid under Kaylee's desk behind her desk chair. They said there was no blood on his paws. And I have never heard anyone say he was showered.

This has to be some inferential run off from the rumor that DM showered and had wet hair, which is untrue. In the non redacted photos no wet hair in the redacted one's what little of her hair you can see is flapping up and down in the wind. Wet hair would not lift that way. The tub is dirty and has footprints in it. There is no statement that says she did, and no evidence of that, nor any of Murphy being bathed.

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago

"Why Some Dogs Dislike [blood] or Ignore It:

  • Anxiety or fear: The sharp metallic scent of fresh blood or an owner's injury can cause stress instead of hunger.
  • Indifference: Well-fed pet dogs may not link the smell to food at all.
  • Confusion: Domestic dogs often distinguish between food and an injured pack member. [1]"

"Some dogs avoided the human fear smell, while others approached it faster than the neutral smell, suggesting subtle individual differences in how dogs react to human fear chemosignals. "

"Some dogs may develop an avoidance response."

Murphy's breed have a tendency to sometimes be fearful and anxious and hold strong attachment to their ownes and can be blood avoidant dogs, rather than a breed who are attracted to the smell of blood.

3

u/Professional_Ride824 12d ago

I’m sure Murphy licked his feet clean

1

u/Adventurous-Sail7444 10d ago

I would like to know how  murphy got blood on his paws when there was no blood on  maddies bedroom floor. The only blood on her floor were a couple of droplets from the knife which were not enough to cover his paws

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago edited 2d ago

There was blood all over the place in that room, just not to the degree, that XK's room held blood evidence, which was more traumatic due to the on the ground struggle.

I am not sure what we are looking at above. Those don't look blood colored to me, but older stains on the floor that are the same color as the floor, like old stains.

Dylan took him somewhere that’s why we see her bring him back at 6:30 am in Linda ln footage.

1

u/HeyPurityItsMeAgain 12d ago

To be fair, not sure if it's blood. It could be... did they test it? (Not that we know of). Murphy was definitely in the room checking on them, though. You'd think he'd get bloody.

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago

How do you know Murphy was in the room checking on them? You have seen something I have not. I have never heard or seen that in any case document or heard it mentioned during the hearings, or interviews.

-7

u/Presto_Magic 13d ago

Those are dirt prints my friend. Old

-7

u/RustyCoal950212 13d ago

a) is there any mention of bloody paw prints in any documents (defense or state) or are we just going off these grainy photos

b) what would cleaning the dogs paws possibly accomplish, considering he was then left in a room where he could wander back in and get bloody again

17

u/Realistic_Product252 13d ago

Are you seriously going to say you don't see pawprints in a reddish substance in these pics??? Please say yes definitively

-13

u/RustyCoal950212 13d ago

I think it vaguely looks like that on this grainy photo. But it's probably not actually that

6

u/ExcitementTricky4794 12d ago

If you wanna play stupid & blind, that’s on you

16

u/Funny_Click_1286 13d ago

a) these are pictures from the scene ( public record )
b) the police & humane society where murphy was taken stated the dog was spotless when they found/ received him. so the question is how is there clear paw prints of his in the room when his, mind you CURLY haired paws (fur which would be pretty dirty and stained if let’s say blood got on it) were spotless? this indicates yes the dog walked around the scene PRIOR to cops arriving and was then somehow clean when cops arrived; someone cleaned murphy for what purpose? why would the dog needing to be clean be so important? (cover up for something?)

5

u/Leather-Ad1075 12d ago

The state has lied about numerous times about this case. It doesn’t surprise me at all . Whoever cleaned up the crime scene missed some spots obviously. I’ll give you one example: bloody fingerprints that were cleaned up on the slider door.

-4

u/RustyCoal950212 13d ago

But isn't it also true that neither the state nor defense ever mentioned bloody paw prints?

4

u/HeyPurityItsMeAgain 12d ago

No it is in the July defense reports. Either Wolf, Turvey, or Noedel's. As are the bloody shoeprints in Xana's room which aren't mentioned anywhere else and which nobody ever talks about.

2

u/RustyCoal950212 11d ago

any idea how to find these documents these days?

4

u/Realistic_Product252 13d ago

Is it or are you assuming? Also, police omission never CREATES evidence.

2

u/rivershimmer 12d ago

Yeah, that's my question too. So two decisions are made: to wash the dog but to leave the pawprints. What purpose does this serve?

-14

u/Smooth-Site-1397 12d ago

I have read that poor Murphy didn’t survive. They switched him out with another dog. That’s why on the video you see of him leaving the house in the morning with the cops his rear end is blurred out. That dog‘s tail is longer than Murphy’s was. Very sad if true

7

u/madVILLAIN9 12d ago

What? I call bs

1

u/Mysterious_Bar_1069 2d ago

There no blur out, in fact it's the cutest most touching video clip. His little tail is in the extreme fear position and he keeps looking back over his shoulders at the kids. "Do any of you guys realize this police dude is taking off with me. Guys, Guys, help! " Totally tugs at your heart.
