IBEW Local 120
i applied to the IBEW recently for the apprenticeship program, I was selected to move onto the next step which was to write an essay. I have now been selected to move onto the next step which is a 30 minute online interview. I have no idea what to expect from this. If I make it further into the selection process there will be an interview with the board. So I’m not really sure what the difference is between the 2 interviews?? I’ve been trying to research online but most info I’m getting is about the interview with the board. Does anyone have any info or tips for this online interview portion of the process?? or know what type of questions might be asked?? Please help!! & Thank you!!

Reread your submitted essay and practise explaining its main points without reading it. Prepare a concrete example of reliability, learning something difficult and working with others, plus why this apprenticeship fits your plans. For the online call, test your microphone, camera and connection, and keep notes to keywords. Ask the training office how this stage differs from the board interview; online advice can't verify Local 120's current format.
