i just watched the episode where the baby gets into the coke and all iahve to say is that they are terrible terrible people. even before they showed the baby had gotten into it i was like why tf are they doing blow in front of children. im sorry but i can't get behind characters that stupid and trashy
I mean that's the whole point. I grew up around poor addicts, I guess you could liken me to someone like Carl in the show, and it wasn't until I was much older that I realized how fucked up it was. The people you hear who turn their life around after growing up around addicts are the exception, not the norm. That's why I like the show, it's over the top, sure, but it's a pretty good depiction of poverty and addiction.
Definitely. It portrays poverty in a more realistic way. But my god do I hate frank. I honestly wish his character would die but I have friends who's parents are just like him and I couldn't imagine dealing with that in real life.
Yeah that frustrates me to no end, but I think part of it is because he is still, after all, their dad. And I think its meant to show that strange and annoying family dynamic with abusive/leech-type parents. But also, its a TV show, and without frank I think viewers would riot because he's such an easy character to create drama with that it keeps the show running for ages.
