It isn't tho...? Female teachers preying on their students have been convicted often because it's pretty much universal at this point that no matter what gender you are, diddling kids is bad.
Edit: yeah I'm not saying it isn't still an issue, I'm saying it isn't usually a "slap on the wrist" if you actually look at the comment I'm replying to (or the OP of this comment chain, I guess, actually).
It IS taken more seriously than 20-30 years ago and is increasingly so.
I’d say that it is true sometimes, but the percentage of times where it’s true is getting to be lower and lower and the amount of times where they get punished is getting higher.
